08 NBA Playoff Thread

Surprisingly I don't see a thread discussing this....

Celtics over Hawks in 4

Pistons over Sixers in 6

Magic over Raptors in 5

Cavs over Wizards in 7

Lakers over Nuggets in 5

Hornets over Mavs in 7

Spurs over Suns in 7

Jazz over Rockets in 6

Celtics to take the title.

I can't believe what great match ups we're seeing in the West.

anyone else think Dirk should've retaliated after West got in his face..

perhaps a pimp slap with a backhand?

I was surprised at the game the 76ers played last night, i guess ive just been sleeping on them all year and not paying them much attention but they played a hell of a game last night. Anyways im lovin all these matchups in the first round and im very excited to see KG earn his way into being mentioned with the rest of the Celtic greats!!

Dirk shoulda gave him a good shove at least, and then pretend to have Dampier hold him back.

But you can't let the face slap fly. That's at least worth a tech.

We'd like a reunion with our old friends too. Everyone hates the Lakers, but its only valid when it comes from you guys.

Sixers were the hottest team in the East. I doubt they'll take Detroit in 7 but it will be intresting.

Let me remind you that we have new coach and system a real PF in Scola and a much better bench in Jackson and Laundry than we had last year.

Seriously...i mean calling out one of the top 2 players in the league and you're a no-name who averages 11 pts a game, gimme a break.

And Arenas saying the Cavs cant beat them 3 years in a row, LOL - atleast he's not the dumbest one on the team

i never understood the motive in talking about a superstar player like lebron before a playoffs series.

players have done this in the past with jordan as well. gerald wilkins dubbing himself the "jordan killer" comes to mind.

what's the point?

are you trying to motivate your teammates? if so, then you're doomed if your teammates need something like that to be motivated for the playoffs.

are you trying to put pressure on the player? we've seen last year that lebron can carry his team. some stars can't, but lebron can.

DeShawn just thinks he's better than he really is...

anyone remember when he bet Arenas $20K that he could hit more two-handed three-pointers than Gil could hit one-handed?

That went about as well as him taunting LeBron

I'm with yall ont he call but I have to admit that we wouldn't have been in that situation if we made our free throws and shots...down 0-2 is tough but we can still pull it out...we're not the 94' rockets but anything is possible!

I agree - should have been a no call given the situation. It didn't affect the play and determined the outcome. It seemed like the refs were going to let them play anyways. Critical bad call.
