but basically told the clippers he wanted out of his contract to play in Boston, and they were nice enough to let him go, since the clipper season wasn't looking so good.

as mentioned, he won 2 in his first 2 seasons.
since then, he's been on some crap teams and decent teams that never had a shot. and on top of season after season of failures, he was one of the most underpaid players in the L.
i'm sure this one is still sweet for him.

AS I said before the series started, I didn't think LA was tough enough. They should be better next year with Bynum back. This has me thinking that the Western Conference was a bit overrated. Or the Eastern conference was underated as Boston was pushed to limit while LA cruised through the plaoyffs.

i mentioned this earlier. but JVG brought up a good point when he said perhaps the west had the better conference but the east had the two best teams. i think it's a good point.

AHEM.
LIKE I SAID.
I refuse to pull any punches or sugar coat anything. ANYONE who says that kobe is "clearly" the best player in the league (let alone, the best of his generation), is most likely mentally retarded.
don't even bother writing back. get back to me when he wins ONE finals mvp (btw, shaq has 3, and jordan has 6). Kobe might be the best hotdog in the league, but he's far from being the best player.
like I've been saying all along... top 5, Maybe.
before anyone foolishly tries to deny this, please do yourself a favor and post for us kobe's stats in all of the finals series'. overwhelming, to say the least.

The east will be better next year with Orlando and Cleveland improving... Dunno what will happen in Detroit, but the Celtics should be strong again...

I've met him many times, from media events to chance encounters at department stores. He has always been nothing but humble and giving...he STILL gives back to many MN charities even though he's gone because it's what he believes it. He formed a lasting relationship with Bill Russell back in he early years and has always looked to him for advice and leadership. He is truly a student of the game and has a great respect of the champions before him.
He loved it here in MN and would have wanted to win here, but he knew it was a lost cause. All he has ever want to do was win, to be a Champion...and now he can say that he is....Congrats KG!

They fucking suck and will continue to suck. Fuck john paxson, fuck jerry reinsdorf, and most of all fuck the chicago bulls.
I dunno, but how many mistakes can an organization make in a year?
Couldnt close on KG
Couldnt close on Kobe
Couldnt close on Gasol
Couldnt close on D'antoni
Couldnt close on Doug Collins
Hired a rookie to coach a bunch of "rookies"...
If you cant get Kobe, why not get the Kobe stopper??? Just needed to wait one week......Failed
Bulls deserved a "fail" stamp next to their name.....maybe even "colossal Fail"
And well deserved rings for KG, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and PJ Brown. Guys blames lights out with their hearts out there.
It felt good to hear KG shout out Chicago, lol.

yeah thanks for the depressing insight, ugh.
reinsdorf, well that's what happens when you have 2 teams to manage. he needs to be cheap somewhere and that's payroll with the bulls and the white sox.

You never hear him whinning about not having enough money to "feed his family" or getting in constant trouble off the court. It's really hard NOT to root for him. KG!
I'm happy for Pierce and Allen as well; two other class acts that are well deserving of a ring. As a matter of fact, I can probably say something positive for everyone on the Celtics' roster.

all my jokes and posts about KG being crazy are due to his on the court behavior and mannerisms.
from interviews and articles, it seems he's a really nice guy off the court. i have a lot of respect for KG and the way he handled his situation with minnesota. most players would have cried and begged to be traded. he hardly complained and was rewarded for his loyalty. i'm shocked that there are t-wolves fans that are NOT happy for him. i truly believe that he was loyal to the t-wolves despite the numerous times they fawked up the franchise and KG himself.
