The best defense in he league didn't show up for the big game. 21 points usually would have been usually meant a decisive victory.

You know it!

Still quite sore about the loss...the offense actually is not a pop-gun attack for once and what does the D do? Allow 29 points...

Polamalu's over turned interception was bizarre... but every game did have some perplexing calls.. It really didn't matter with the Pats, as they beat themselfs with turnovers. Thank god the steelers still won, as it would have been a shame to have the game decided on the overturned interception...

<=== Officially on the Steelers bandwagon...

The officiating was terrible this weekend. That's what happens when the NFL switches to "all-star" ref squads instead of keeping the squads together as they were all season.

That said, the better teams won this weekend, even if they were only better because they put it together when they needed to with the pressure on.

I'll agree that Pitt was definitely the better team and almost blew it, but I didnt see anything from Denver that proved they were any better than NE.

They were better on Saturday night in that they knew enough to just stand there and let NE hand the game over to them.

I agree 100% this All-Star bullshit is wrong.. They blew alot of calls.. That was the worst reffing I've ever seen in the playoffs in a long time..

So who do you root for now?

My girl says she likes the seahawks' uniforms the best, so we're going with them. She doesn't like "the yellowpants" because they beat the tigers.

Any team that makes Peyton pout like that is alright in my book - go Steelers!

I would really like to see THE BUS get a superbowl since his career is winding down. Officially on the steelers bandwagon like GM. GO STEELERS.

My woman has always hated football and made a point of focusing solely on their uniforms. For years I've been listening to "go blue!" (pats), and this year it has been the "horses" (denver), the "yellow-pants" (pitt), the "tigers" (cincy), and the "horseshoes" (indy). She calls the bears the bears, but thinks it's unforgivably stupid to just have a "C" on thier helmets instead of a picture of an actual bear. This is what I deal with.

LOL, thats awesome. It is good that you can get her to watch sports with you. Its great when your gf likes the same team as you thats for sure.

My sister is the worst. She will be over on a random visit,......and all of a sudden is like,...WHO IS WINNING,....WHATS THE SCORE etc....in an excited way (this is usually for hockey though,...but whatever). I always call her on it,......she doesnt know who is playing,.....players,.....team names,....etc. She claims to "keep up" with what is going on, but that is just not the case. I just say GIVE ME A BREAK, and tell her to stop telling me stories haha. Then she starts asking stupid questions,.....

We were hanging out with a girl last weekend who was like that. I said something about a runningback picking up yards after the initial hit and she jumped right in, spewing things like "oh my god, he's amazing, look at him bounce off them and keep on running." She went on for about 45 seconds until everyone in the room was just staring at her.

No Offense? That was about the best display by the Bears offense all year. Simply put, if the defense had played, there was plenty of points for a win. Tillman played horrible and let Smith walk all over him.

21 points is usually enough offence for the Bears...it was their D through and through that let the team down.

Carolina had no 3 and outs that I recall.

They are lucky they had that many if you ask me. Ill give you that much that the offense was actually there this time. Usually all their points are from the D. and their D never showed up sun. (that or the panthers offense was just that much better)

just got back from the night before, and the sorrows it brought. put simply; very pathetic. I'm not even going to start talking about it. I will say though, that this team will learn something from this, Rex Grossman sure as hell can play, and Bernard Berrian will (hopefully) maintain his awesome form through next season.

now i have to grind out the rest of this year, hearing shit from all my Sox friends who hate my baseball team more than they appreciate theirs

now i will cheer for the Steelers. 2 of my good friends are Steelers fans, 1 is a Colts fan. Boy did that man hear it last night

Google image search for "Cowher" comes back with some pretty damn funny expressions on his face. I think this one is closest to a smile...

It's almost like his upper lip started smiling, and his lower lip said "hey, that actually looks like a good time" but then his teeth decided to put an end to things before they got out of hand.

Ya, that can be annoying. In my last year of University I decided not to live with the guys,......and got a nice house with some girls (5 girls,.1 guy-me). Long story short,.......2 were the devil,......other 3 were cool. I would be upstairs watchin tv etc,.......and whoever and her friends would come bother me while I was trying to watch the game. Making comments and talking on and on blah blah,....but not really knowing what they were talking about. sigh. Finally they would leave so I could concentrate on the game.

One thing that always made me laugh was how they would all cut up an attractive girl on tv,.......ex on Fear Factor. They would basically start going,......oh, look at me, I'm a dumb blonde with fake boobs etc. It was pretty funny how catty they would get over a TV show LOL,.........how do they know they are fake anyway.

Nice avatar AD btw.

ummm,.on topic,..........GO STEELERS
