Damn Bee that sucks man. You're running Megans right?
Don't let me be the only car from NC! Then again you'll have a 7-8 hour drive.

Yea I'm the only one from NC making the drive. Mitzi and I are driving up Friday after class and getting a hotel for the night. I had a blast last year and the VA guys are all really cool.

Out of all the seasons on the calendar they want to do a winter type meet LoL. I would love to go, but didn't really plan on nothing and my suspension still isn't right.

I know man. It was freezing last year and it will be the same on Saturday, but this is the 3rd year in a row and it gets bigger every time. The first meet was 6-8 cars and last year we had over 30. I think we have 40 on the list and that doesn't include non-AZ members who are tagging along.

Hey guys, where can I get replacement struts installed on a 2002 TL-S?
Failed NC inspection and Firestone quotes $150 per side plus $130 labor - $430 total. BUT I know I can get parts cheaper (they use Monroe) and they (Firestone) won't install customer parts.
Alternative is to do the work myself, but it's a pretty significant job (swapping over springs, etc) and $130 is a decent price for labor on it.
Thread here: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-100/shock-strut-replacement-stock-tl-s-804518/
Edit: Everything local is running $430 - $480. That includes the dealer with $120 per side plus $240 labor). I guess everybody is using a 2 hour labor rate estimate.

I'm assuming you've called Hondaworks.
A guy in my office has used Select Imports for years.
Meineke?
However, I doubt any of these is going to be significantly cheaper than the quotes you've already gotten. The first two will install customer parts, though.

I'm just going to DIY 'em this week-end and save the $$$. Weather will be nice and I've got 3-days (not that it will take me more than 2 ).

Done. New front struts and bushings and new tires all around (BS 960 AS).
Rides great; steering feels better (less mushy/sloppy).
Passed re-inspection & saved ~$250.

I was thinking the same thing Jack.
I hope everyone has been doing well! I'm not sure about Charlotte but it's gorgeous outside right now. I came home from class with my windows down and I haven't been able to do that in a very long time. What a tease

Yeah, we went to lunch yesterday and it was nice. Drove home with the windows down and sunroof open. But come Saturday, when I would have a chance to wash my disgustingly filthy car? Cold...followed by two days of rain/mix. Had the highest gas bill I've had in nine years last month, too. Fuck this cold weather bullshit (tellin' ya how I really feel ).

I hear you on that man. My car is filthy and I can't stand it. I don't think it's supposed to rain here until Tuesday

Haha! My car is so dirty, my wife, for the first time EVER, asked me if I'd wash it - "It's embarassing".
I said, "No. You won't keep it clean anyhow."

I say the same thing to Mitzi when she begs me to clean it for her.

I just ran now ran it through the touchless wash while she was home for lunch. It's not "clean", but it is rinsed off.

Sup' guys!
I'm gonna be with the family in Charlotte from March 13th-17th looking for an apartment and checking some things out...As I will be moving there for school late June.
Is there anything going on during that week that maybe I could come out to and meet some of you guys? Looking forward to seeing NC's car game, hopefully it can hang with what I'm used to...South Floridas car scene.
Anywho, looking forward to coming out to all the meets once I'm living up there.
