Well I got some news from my insurance company. They said that if the damage done to the other guys car isn't more than $1600 then I shouldn't expect my rates to go up. So what do you guys think? All that happened was I scraped some paint off of his rear bumper. Since he had a 2006 TL I'd figure you guys would know the answer. In a worse case scenario where they replace and paint the bumper, is there any way that it could add to 1600? I wouldn't think so but I figured I'd ask you guys.

^There's no way it could go over $1600. I had a brand new front bumper put on when someone bumped me and took off last year. Including all parts, paint, and labor, it barely broke $450.

I know my car would look better with a lip kit but I already scrape the nose of the car more than I would like. I have a feeling the lip kit would just get torn off one day if I'm careless.

I really want a clear 3M bra for the bumper only because I never want to see another rock chip again ever.

The guy I hit called me this morning and told me that he got quotes in the $550 range. Not bad. I just told him that I called my insurance co. and that they should be taking care of him. And to call me if it seems that his insurance didn't get that memo. I'm actually suprised they didn't tell him yet.

Lance does your actual bumper scrape stuff or is it just that air diffuser under the car? The A-Spec kit would look on your car.

I scrape that stupid thing every time I go in and out of my driveway. I've only scraped my front lip once ever and that was when I pulled too far into a parking spot and hit it against the curb

Your insurance company isn't going to seek him out. They'll pay if he files a claim, but they won't run around volunteering to pay out.

Its too dam low now. Had to be at work in the afternoon and needed my ride, so the mechanic guy couldn't adjust the height more. It rubs and scrape up those evil speed bumps.
Gonna raise it up more today.

Sorry Bee. I found this new smilies website and they have shit I wish we did. I get sick of using the same ones over and over.

I can't remember exactly how to reset the oil life but I think you go to the orange screen or whatever that has the picture of the wrench. Hold down the select button and either the left or right selection arrow for 5-10 seconds.

Bee, this is what you do. Don't listen to Tyler. Hahaha.

Go to the screen that displays the oil life. Hold down the select/reset button for 10-15 until it beeps. The screen will turn orange and ask if you're sure you want to reset it. Just push the select reset button again and it'll reset. You don't have to hold it down the second time. You don't need to mess with the arrow buttons.

Gee Jason, thanks a lot for killing this thread with your depressing story But in all seriousness, good luck with everything. I'm glad you weren't seriously injured.

What's new fellas? Bee how are those coils treating you? Lance how was the FL trip?

I have two papers due tomorrow that I've known about all semester and I've waited until tonight to do them. The first one was 5-6 pages long and I had to take the ethical thought behind utilitarianism and compare it to the movie Saving Private Ryan. Was it ethical to risk the lives of eight men to save one, blah blah. I finished that and submitted it about an hour ago. Now I'm working on a two page essay about drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Bleh.

That is for my philosophy class. It's fun debating stuff but I hate learning every aspect of dudes that have been dead for hundreds of years and having to know EXACTLY what they would say about any situation.

That's why I didn't take classes like that. We had general education requirements (goals) to meet to graduate, and most people took classes like that to meet them, but I went out of my way to take the other options.

I need one philosophy class and two science classes to get my A.A. degree. I'll be taking biology next semester.

I can't decide what I want to get my bachelors degree in. So frustrating

I loved biology. Took two years of it in HS, and two semesters of it in college. The best part about in college was we had to either take three 1101 sciences (ex. bio, chem, psych) or two of one discipline in back-to-back semesters. To me it was obvious; meet the goal with two classes instead of three. I took biology 1101 and 1102. 1102 was just like the second year of bio I took in HS (well, a little more detailed). And I avoided the stuff I hated (chem) or had no interest in (psych, phil, physics).

Oh, get a business degree...very flexible when it comes to getting a job.

I loved bio in high school but I have a feeling that it's going to kick my ass in college. Bleh.

I've been thinking about going towards a business degree but I feel like everyone does that. Then again different isn't always better. I've been considering a psychology degree as well but it doesn't pay much unless I go and get my doctorate. No thanks.

I had the bio department head, who everyone said not to take, take over my section after our original professor left after the first test (forget why she left). I thought she was great, and 100 times better than the original professor. She taught the 1102 section, too. 1101 was like HS bio; 1102 was like HS bio II. Not bad at all. If you like bio, take it. I just hated getting robbed of credit for the lab...3 hours in lab, 1 hour of credit.

Everyone gets a business degree because you can do practically anything with it. If you don't know what you want to do by your junior year, it's the best general degree you can get. You can get almost any job with it, and it's easier to switch careers down the road if you find you want/need to. It also gives you lots of good general knowledge for life. Get a masters in whatever field you end up going into.

I think medical is the way to go. So many different career paths to take. Radiology, Lab work, nurse, anethesiologist. There is also careers in it where you don't have to deal with people. Plus, it's not affected by the economy. Because people will always get sick or hurt.

Business is tricky economy wise, but it is true that you can use it in multiple careers. I've been looking into it.

Was wondering where duh hell everybody went?
Whats school ? JK I've been busy with the car. Had to raise it up and tighten up the coilovers, it feels kinda bumpy at times not to bad though. Still not fixed, maybe I messed with the springs when I was twisting shit. I also hooked up my audio stuff, found a great deal on 12inch speakers and amp on craiglists. May be leaving for Tennessee for Thanksgiving and taped up my front end with Smurf blue tape haha.

Thats my long ass story.

Keeping this thread alive yep.

Good points made there Jack. Idk what to do

Lance if I was better in science I would go towards something in the medical field. Biology and chemistry kicks my ass and those are crucial in that occupation. You're right about the economy not affecting the jobs though, people will always get sick and accidents always happen. Good to hear you and the girl are doing well. Get it son!

Bee I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the coils! I'm jealous. What kind of subs did you end up getting? I want to take a road trip so I can tape up my car and put dumb shit on it
