Get this shit, so it's 9:30 and I'm just standing at the valet stand when a silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren pulls in my valet lane. I just about shit myself and the person driving waves me over. So while "tremblin' in mah boots" I walk over and see a 40 something year old white lady sitting behind the wheel. She rolls down the window and this is how the conversation goes:
Me: Good evening mam, what can I help you with?
SLR Lady: I'm doing well but do you work for North Hills?
Me: Well I'm a valet here but I don't technically work for North Hills. May I ask why you asked that?
SLR Lady: Well I'm pretty fed up that I can't reach the ATM while sitting in my car. It's too high up.
(I pause)
Me: Well mam I'm sorry but I don't know what to tell you. I can call security, those guys are employed by the owners of North Hills, and maybe they could help you out.
SLR Lady: Yes please do that. I'm so fucking angry that I can't reach the ATM. This is bullshit. The closest ATM to my house is too high for me to reach, that's fucking pathetic. There's no way in hell I'm getting out my car to put the card in, it's hot outside and I don't want to break a sweat.
(I pause while trying to keep my thoughts to myself)
Me: That's understandable. Let me call security for you.
(Security shows up. Two big ass black dudes in one of those GEM golf carts.)
The SLR Lady proceeds to tell them how pissed she is that can't reach the ATM to insert her card. The two guys just look at me and I just smile and walk away. I proceed to bring a few cars up to their owners and even 10 minutes later she's still sitting there bitching them out. I saw her throw up her hands and drive away. Security asked me what the hell happened and I told them that she pulled in my lane and started freaking out. They just shook their head and one mumbled "spoiled bitch".

well i jus got my tire plugged about a month ago bc i had a broken key in it...last night leavn extreme bowlin i kept hearing a noise...i get out and check the tire and sure enuff there is a nail in it...i cant catch a break!!

I bought 1 tire from the used tire warehouse in charlotte for $30 when one of mine was useless. Google them and you'll find it. You can choose which tire you want which is pretty cool.

Tyler, that story was funny. IMO nobody really needs an ATM. I mean, the only time you need cash is at a bar or at a strip club. Any other time a Debit card works just fine.

Oh yeah im 30 years young..Anybody know about a estimate for a totaled 2gen.. I did some rough estimating, and i only owe like 3 thousand on it. That looks like more than 3 thou worth in damage.

According to NADA your car is worth about $6000. For it to be totalled the damage has to be greater than 6k. If it is totalled then your insurance pays off the 3k left to payoff the car and then give you a check for the balance.
I added up a list of parts you need...
Windshield stuff... ~700
Fenders... ~860
Hood, Grille...~1100
Headlights and Foglights...~1900
Front Bumper...~400
Paint...~1500
Total...~6460 just for parts and paint
Add another 1800-2000 in labor to put it together.
Add another 2000 for miscellaneous mechanical parts to be replaced.
Now if the frame is bent then there is no luck saving the car.
So you're looking at around a $10k bill to have that car fixed. So instead of paying that much your insurance will just give you the $6000 because that's what the car is worth.

@ Lance , thanks for the info. That was a pretty good estimate. As you can see from the driver side pic, the door kind of shifted which might indicate frame damage or thats what the wrecker guy said idk. Who knows what else is damage and shitted. But yeah adjuster wants me to call tomorrow so will keep you guys updated . Sorry for the sad/bullshit news.

Can't see the pics at work, but it doesn't sound good. Just be glad that you weren't in the car when it got damaged like that. And hopefully the ones that were in it got hurt.

Got a adjuster to the claim, She told me to call this morning but then left a message saying she wont be in the office till tomorrow morning. Fuk uh durr durr... Gonna try again, I jus moved to morning shift at my job, I hate playing phone tag. Hopefully she went out to look at the car already and we can start this dam process. Gotta keep it moving this shit is killing me.

Another 2nd gen would prob make me miserable as hell, after all that time and money and mods, but i dont know too much about 3gens. We'll see when this crap is over with. Mods I dont how I would go about taken things off and replacing them, because i got all the factory stuff. Oh yeah the function and form coilovers is the shit.
