Well if this guy in Boiling Springs, NC still has the two blocks for sale, I'm gonna pick up an ej257 forged block (jdm sti). He says he tried building a hybrid build and now has rod knock on both blocks but the 257 has 50K and the 255 has 93k.

Im going forged pistons and rods and im not sure on the heads just yet. i havent priced out all my cams (4 of them) but I may just take my current head and swap it over.

Since I'm parting ways with the TL, I wish I could attend for a final "hoorah", but I'm stuck working again. I hope you guys have a blast and take tons of pictures! I'm glad to see the NC crew active after so many years of basically being dormant.

Yeah I drove it to work today. I want the detail manager to see if he can work on a few areas for me with an orbital. I'm OCD and trying to make a decade-old car look brand new, which isn't an easy feat

Shiieeetttt Eric, neither anytime soon. The house is being painted at the end of the month and that's a large enough expense. After that I'll have to step back and save a bit

Of course a drop and the front lip would be nice, but I'm so excited to have the damn car in the first place that I'm honestly not worried about modding it. In time things will happen, but for now I'm just happy to be behind the wheel

I think Eric is right, though; coilovers and a paved driveway. And the driveway is house-related, and therefore responsible .

Yeah rocks are a hazard. They can cause serious injury to your person and vehicles and windows. Paved driveway is essential.

We won't be at this house forever so I'm not sure if the driveway will ever be done. Having the house painted later this month is the big project for this year so if the driveway happens, it won't be until next year.

Acura Crew fest was great. Bout 30-40 Acuras and a few lingering Honda's.

Overall a great day.

I think the biggest value was going up there to fix some bad relationships on my end and getting to understand the Acura Crew NC folks up in Raleigh. When we laid it all out on the table, it made sense.

After that conversation we discussed doing an event in Charlotte. Considering a few of us went up, they want to try to do something in Charlotte now. I think it will be worth it if we can do it big.

Side note:
-I think I possibly bent one of my AMG wheels. I'll find out tomorrow.
-Ozzy blew a tire 30 minutes from home.

Would I go again, absolutely.

I will upload pictures tomorrow after I find out about my wheel.
