^ If it's flickering, chances it's a bad ballast.

I'm not sure if the L/R ballasts are different, but you could always try hooking up the driver side ballast and see if your passenger light flickers then? ?

Yeah, the problem with that is I'd still have to find a way to remove the bumper and I don't have any resources to do that without help.

I think I'll take you up on it if I have to change the bulb out, if I need to wait for replacement bulbs from warranty. I was going to take it to a local auto shop to get it diagnosed for $90. So after talking to the Kearny Mesa Acura, they'll match it for the diagnosis. I need to get this taken care of asap.

Let me tell you, it's certainly annoying to have a flashing headlight on the highway. People get annoyed at you too.

Thorin, I can help you with removing the bumper too. I haven't done much with my headlights, but will certainly offer my help and learn from tommy at the same time.

Cool, I went to Marcus @ Heeltoe Automotive last time to change out the bulbs. It took him 5 mins to do that. I call around here and the shops say well it's a 2 hour process to remove the bumper. Argh.

On another note, I'll be calling up Marcus one of these days to change out my shocks. I hear them squeaking in the back when I go over bumps.

Also on another note, does anyone have any friends that works at any Infiniti dealerships? I'm looking to buy the new JX that's coming out next year.

Sounds like the same problem you're having, just a little more severe.

Check it.

Yeah I saw that and posted on there too. People just tell me to swap out the bulb and test which is what's going to happen tomorrow.

My driver's side turned purple in Feb and so I replaced both bulbs w/ the Kaixen ones from Excelerate. Now it's the passenger side that's flickering.

That's great man. Gotta get something that works for the family.
Yeah, still got the CL. Didn't break 100k miles until just recently. Runs like a champ.

It would be nice to see you at a meet sometime. Looks like we've got someone planning one for the very near future.

XXR 962, They're 4x114 with custom "ill" decal hubcaps. I think the guy said they were 18x8.5, in the front, 18x9.5, in the rear. His bike rack was a Thule Bike Rack with 2 Racks.

tommy,
Can you do some plastic bumper repair also?
I'm posting it here and not pm because i thought maybe you want to keep trading your skills for some scratch.

Heres some details:

If its what I'm thinking in my head it should be fairly easy and is actually something I need to do on my car, easiest an best way would be to take the whole bumper off

Are you AT or 6MT?

I've heard good and bad things about the XRL8 mounts, a member with a 3G 5AT TL with minor bolt ons has gone through 2 front mounts because the metal tab that bolts onto the engine itself broke off.

The 62A poly bushings aren't going to be doing you any favors either .. XLR8 do claim they use different poly material than Innovative, but if you plan on doing any kind of aggressive driving .. I would do 75A / 85A. I would also recommend finding any kind of torque damper / upgraded transmission mounts so it'll alleviate as much engine movement as possible.

Here's my 65A Innovative bushings after 1 year, 25,000 miles on my daily:

Bushings on top were my side mount near the AC / PS (Not too bad), bottom bushings were on my front mount which are clearly lopsided and damaged.

Tyler, i have the innovative front/side on the car right now and they need to be replaced.
so no one has the new mounts?

I was thinking about getting the P2R TB spacer, but not sure if I should get my front and rear sway bars upgraded first. The current package deal that XLR8 has for the P2R is making it hard to pass up. What do you guys think I should get first, the P2R TB and gaskets w/thermal manifold gasket, or solid front Type-S sway bar and Progress rear sway bar? Thanks.

^ Sways any day.

I personally had the P2R spacer on my 3G TL and didn't notice any difference .. I felt a bigger difference overall when I did the coolant bypass on the throttle body .. car felt much less heatsoaked.

you can have the p2r package for $95 instead of $120. does it get any better than that?
the dyno results are in the link above.
