I'm surprised they are still likely to do another year with 150k sales to be honest...given most, if not all of their cars made their debut back in around 2013 +/- 1 year. FMC can't come soon enough for most of these cars.

Just pack up and close shop if they are not serious about the biggest Auto marketing in the world ( or is China?)

Midnight Marauder
Unfortunately, there seems to be very little evidence that any FMC is happening soon. Since the RLX and TLX just got their MMC, they'll probably be around for a long time still. I could be wrong, but I haven't seen any ILX mules yet either.

The good? It wasn't a sequential monthly decline like it has been for the past 4 months. Sales are higher than in Aug. 2017.
The bad? It's still less than it was a year ago. But can anyone say they're not not surprised?

Unless they're comparing ILX sales to the Buick Verano. But that car's being discontinued this year, so not exactly a fair comparison. And when compared to the Volvo S60, the ILX only sold 131 units more. How is that "well above"?
Sep. 2016 vs Sep. 2017
Acura ILX : 916 --> 1,222 (+ 33.41%)

I know both the TLX and A4 didn't have much incentive going on, but still, I'd have expected the A4 sales to be higher given it's the newest car in the segment that is very competitive.
The Lexus IS and Caddy ATS are falling hard as well. These are the most fun to drive cars in this segment, granted also some of the older ones along with the TLX.

Audi's sales issue is not the product itself. It is their programs whether it is leasing or financing (discounts)
They have their own rationale about why they dont want to compete with Benz and BMW on sales #, because they could double their sales # overnight if they chose to. But only they know why they keep offering shitty programs, even to their own employees.

I think A4 was 2585 last month:
https://www.driveandride.com/us/audi...eptember-2017/
https://www.driveandride.com/us/audi...eptember-2017/
September 2016 = 3,175 exclusing allroad.
A4 includes A4 Sedan and S4 Sedan, but does not include A4 allroad.
That means A4 sales declined by 18.58% then if we exclude the allroad.

The A5, especially the sportback, is extremely similar as well. Moreso than the Allroad in my mind.

Haha I'd say, not as bad as others. These sedans aren't doing well. I'm somewhat surprised by the huge drop of the A4, IS, and 3 series. I know the IS and 3 series are getting old but wow, the drop still seems quite significant.

3 series sales are stolen by 4 series... especially the GC. I see more GC than coupe.
and also with the way BMW whoring out models, all it does is re-distribute the sales #s with all the other BS models.

Holy... the Maxima is crushing it. Though it really shouldn't be in this segment. The lower trims are much too economy car, compared to the rest.

New Sales Records Set as Honda and Acura Make Substantial Gains in November
Dec 1, 2017 - TORRANCE, Calif.
American Honda Motor Co., Inc. today reported November sales of 133,166 Honda and Acura vehicles, an increase of 8.3 percent over November 2016 and a new November record for the company. Honda Division reported an increase of 8.2 percent on total sales of 120,440 for a best-ever November, with cars 0.9 percent on sales of 57,459, and Honda trucks up 15.8 percent on sales of 62,981 for yet another new record. Acura Division sales climbed 9.5 percent in November, with cars gaining 11 percent on sales of 3,600 and trucks rising 8.9 percent on sales of 9,116 units
Honda
With major competitors clinging to heavy incentives and financing deals to compete, Honda Division gained again in November with a balanced portfolio of strong-performing vehicles. Civic and CR-V each gained more than 23 percent, while Pilot jumped 57.2 percent as higher production volume continues to improve model availability. Accord sales remained strong at nearly 23,000 units, even as supplies of the all-new 2018 model continue to ramp up and reach dealerships nationwide. The all-new Accord received numerous accolades earlier in the week at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, securing a spot on Car and Driver magazine's 10Best list an unprecedented 32nd time, as well as being named a finalist for the 2017 North American Car of the Year award.
"We remain committed to our long-term strategic plans built around steady and sustainable growth," said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., senior vice president of the Automobile Division & general manager of Honda Sales. "Honda is committed to competing with a focus on creating value for the customer through outstanding products and sales practices that protect the investment they make in the Honda brand."
Acura
Rising across virtually the entire lineup, Acura sales gained a solid 9.5 percent in November. MDX sales were up substantially with the move to the East Liberty, Ohio plant alongside stablemate RDX. NSX made big strides, while TLX gained 12.4 percent over November 2016.

What's causing that whooping jump in Pilot sales ?
#4304
this probably biggest Honda dealer in SF bayarea with 600 Honda in Stock but they have only 7 Clarity and 6 of them just showed up as Plug-In which will be the most popular model.

there is tremendous increase in Pilot inventory. its third row is spacious than Highlander.

They finally have enough supply on the ground with the MDX leaving Alabama for East Liberty.
And there is a $359/$389 lease on EX-L FWD/AWD. I'm pretty sure this is the first national lease deal for the Pilot since the G3 went on sale two years ago.

Honda's effort to better leverage its North America production operations to grow light truck sales continued to pay dividends:
- Newly dedicating a production line in Honda's Alabama to Pilot in October helped the three-row SUV to December sales of 18,602, a jump of 54 percent.
- CR-V, built at three plants in North America, also posted strong December sales of 36,983 units, to set a new annual sales mark of 377,895 as Honda's best-selling model.
- HR-V set a new annual record as well, topping last year's mark by 14.6 percent on sales of 94,034 for the year.
- Civic continued its record run with sales of 31,406 units in December on the way to a new all-time annual sales mark of 377,286 units.
- The all-new 2018 Accord continued to show strength in the incentive-heavy mid-size segment, as the 2.0 turbo model began to hit showrooms – triggering the full marketing launch set to begin in January. Overall, Accord topped 320,000 sales in 2017.
- Sales of the all-new Honda Clarity series of electrified vehicles reached a major milestone with December sales of more than 1,400 units signaling Honda's effort to take electrification mainstream, led by the launch of the all-new 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid in all 50 states.
- Overall, Honda Division set the following sales records:
- Total vehicles, best ever annual sales – 1,486,827
- Trucks, best ever monthly sales – 75,856
- Trucks, best ever annual sales – 734,269

- RDX ended 2017 with 51,295 sales for the year, the only vehicle in the fast-growing entry luxury SUV segment with 3 consecutive years above 50,000 units in sales – a critical foundation for the all-new RDX Prototype that will make its world debut the North American International Auto Show this month.

I find myself genuinely excited to see the next gen RDX, but I'm still worried I'll be disappointed.
At least bring back SH-AWD, Acura.

^ Nice list.
But if the 4 Series is included, shouldn't the A5 as well? Not to mention the RC?
Not sure why the Conti and S90 are included as they are RLX (and XTS) competitors, or for that matter, the CTS (competes against the GS, Q70, etc.).
Would also include the Buick Regal as that is GM's TLX competitor.

welcome back.
CDX sales are now 2K per month. Chinese TLX-L has been launched. now RDX and CDX hybrid is coming. Honda has outstanding technology in hybrid. Fit and Grace hybrid already popular in Asia. they need SUV hybrids.

^ 6 cars not sold in the US, not even remotely related.

^ Well, he's good at posting totally irrelevant stuff.
Note how he only posts about the China market (where Honda is doing well) and avoiding the EU market (where Honda is not doing so well).

Lola
Things will be slightly improved though as the new RDX and TLXL will be locally assembled so the prices will drop significantly.

It's just the Honda badged products did well in 2017, on the Acura front, they sold just 15k cars in China all of last year, and about 13k of those were CDXs. (American Honda needs to sell the CDX here, it's ridiculous that they don't take any advantage of the hottest segment in the automotive market at the moment)
And to top it off, the ILX finished dead last.
The Acura ILX is a swing and a miss, in both CR testing and when judged by owners. It falls 10 percentage points below the Mercedes-Benz CLA in the same category, itself a disappointing entry. Across all car types, the ILX has the lowest satisfaction, followed closely by the Dodge Dart and Jeep Compass. The ILX was challenged from the start as a pricey, dressed-up Honda Civic. Acura made several key updates for the 2016 model year, but even when looking at ratings on just those freshened sedans, they are no different than older model years.
Owners say:
“Lacks acceleration, noisy, poor quality paint, shaky ride... very expensive for the poor quality offered.”
“It shifts too soon into higher gear, making acceleration feel sluggish unless under hard acceleration.”
“Road noise is very pronounced. I will be trading the ILX in as soon as I can on something quieter.”

But the ILX has great air-flow due to the positioning of the side mirrors (or something to that effect).

Too bad ILX did not come with the optional glass dildo... that will actually help with the friction .

Honda is waiting for electrification of vehicles. EU especially UK has recently raised MOT on diesels. new Honda CRV will have no diesel. As long as China and US market profitable for Honda. It can easily come back in EU.

I was in Tischer Acura in Laurel MD yesterday picking up some "O" rings (power steering pump), the building was entirely new. I was very impressed, it copuld have been a MB, BMW, Audi, or Lexus dealership.
Very nice appointments and construction quality and materials, heck even the bathroom looked like it belongs in a Westin.
Acura West in MD also rebuilt their dealership building recently, I'll have to stop by and take a look.
Although Acura's sedans are not great at least their dealerships are improving.

Remodeling going on at the local dealer to me as well. Been a few years since I've been in there, though.
