The only parts in boxes I have are takeoff aspherical mirrors from my Golf TDI that I am giving to a friend.

And some upgraded gauges for an air compressor my brother gave me.

I generally don't leave parts laying around. Once I get them I purposely leave them out in an obnoxious place so they annoy me and motivate me to get to it.

That last page was real serious, please get back to the jokes and put that damn grille on already; Audi looks like it was punched in the face and lost some teeth.

Down here in the heat, that's what people think when that monthly utility reckoning arrives in the mail.

Well, this weekend was productive. Spent time with my daughter, mother, girlfriend and her kids.
also made time for some round and brown action...

wiper blades installed...

removed the horrid center console armrest...it's in bad condition and honestly, I'm leaving it out because I don't like the feel of it.

also removed the seat backs because they had multiple clips undone...I tried hot glue but on a hot day, that failed already...

after much work...I finally got all the bulb issues licked...turns out it was the front parking lights that were out...and ordered a new high mount brake, got 12V at the plug so it should solve it...had to tweak the
license bulb sockets and got those working as well. NO MORE WARNING LIGHT for the lights being out

high mount out

Got the stupid fucking grill out

Gave her some fresh oil...she needed it. My hoarding paid off...I owned the socket needed to pull the filter.

aftermarket oil filter housing...hmmm...high performance I guess?

suck my ass bumper! I will say that I'm very impressed with how well, solid and intuitively German car's are put together. No lie, I might
actually be a cuck for life now.

super glad I coughed up the extra 100 bucks to get the front plate delete grill...used oem and all so it matches the car's existing "patina"

found some push pins for the rear tray

had this unsightly bullshit

captain plastiDIPS to the rescue, ho

I wonder if this is that idle control...although I noticed idle seems to have gotten better...maybe the car just needed to be driven?
it also didn't like me clearing the CEL codes because that's when the rough idle and shutting off happened.

I'm getting the headlights cleared but in the meantime...I did wetsand and buff them so it would look decent already
although not yet done here

washed and waxed the entire exterior...addressed some places where someone 2k sanded scratches and never bothered compounding/polishing back out...
I then gave her a coat of wolfgangs 3.0 with a white pad and the wheels got wheelwax

Enjoyed rippin around in her with Momma and Z today...she was impressed with how good the car looks and how well it drives.

This looks like ass man.. love the overspray too

..and clear that damn pass headlight mang.
If you're going to be a douche in a 4x4 Audi.. you want to make sure you blind the driver and passenger in front of you.

yeah, once the dip dried though it's a matte finish so it actually hid the problem pretty well and looks like oem trim.
I used a rag for the overspray...when it's thin like that you can just kinda roll it off with your thumb.

It's the angle, the passenger side actually got more sanding and looked pretty good but I was running out of time before this kid's party so I called it a day and figured I'd address it with Brian when he clears them for me.

OH, it wasn't clear
haha...I don't bother with touching them myself. I've tried all methods and paying my buddy to sand them clean and hit with a few coats of high quality 2k clear are where it's at. Looks like new plastic when he's done.
He did my S2000, both my TL's...the Vagon (including that glue strip that yellowed on top IN the housing, he painted it raven black to match)

The only way to go and to me, the biggest visual impact you can make on an otherwise decent shape looking car (save for a crashed grill, in this case)

Wow. That's a lot of work on the ow-dee. Did you invite the previous owner over so he could watch you work on the car?

LOL....hell to the NAWWWW...
firstly, door dings...secondly, there's no way there won't be a HUGE faded differentiation and embedded decade of grime I might not be able to hide with a simple compound polish

I did send previous owner pics of it and he's like, damn, that's nice...
honestly though, I don't think the guy I bought from was actually the owner...I get the impression he pretended to be related to the lady he was selling it for or took off her hands. That
mechanic he took it to to get checked out was an auction house.

Meh...whatever...so far, no grenade...she registered and I'm no longer ridin dirty...and she's been a fun little zippy car to drive.
Just ordered a used OEM axle of a CC with 45K miles...driver one boot is torn and clicking. Also, annoying vibration around 65 to 75...I'll start there.
Seems like a job I can tackle easily myself...

You have me tempted to get an A3 beater with the pounding 3 dogs are inflicting on my MDX.

Nice work!
