Parts list for '04 to '07 ECU swap to use Ktuner

Hey eveyone, first post, got a couple questions. I am building an 04 6speed, and I need to convert to the 07 auto ecu so I can tune it. I have searched but haven't found a direct answer. Aside from the ECU itself, what other components are necisary for the swap? I have heard that the full harness and immobilizer need to be used, but I have an alarm system with an imobilizer bypass, not sure if it would need to be switched. As far as wiring goes, can the plugs be repinned or is the hondata harness required?

I know I should just go with flashpro, I am just intrigued with the DBW tuning with the Ktuner, and that is enough to make me want to try it. The car has a full custom headback exhaust and dual throttle body IM, turbo comes next year, squeezing as much N/A power out of it for the rest of this year.

Here are some pics of the car. Picked it up stock about 3 weeks ago. Wife had an 04 auto, found this 6 speed, got it and I switched all the parts over and have been working on the dual tb setup.

I can't help you with the specifics as the 06 to 08 was very easy. Just had to add the can bus connections to the dlc and initially connected a lot of stuff using an aem harness that later could be disabled in flashpro. 2004/5 have a much different pin out. I also used a 08 type s 6mt ecu so I don't know what the specifics are for using an at ecu.

But here is a thread if you haven't seen it yet:

Thanks guys. I have checked out that thread about the flashpro and I think I might be able to get by with just repinning the ecu connectors, adding the CAN wiring and dealing with the imobilizer through my alarm system and an hds unit. I have an ecu on the way as of now. Now I am just contemplating Flashpro vs Ktuner. I used to run neptune on my prelude, fought it and switched to Hondata and never looked back. I like the features of K tuner better, but the flashpro is so documented, used and supported and I am wondering if I am going to be in the same place again?

I have Flashpro and an 04 TL. The CAN bus needs to be extended to the obd2 port and you use Hondata's harness to connect the 04 pins to the new 07-08 ECU. You will need to write the VIN of your 04 TL to the new ECU for the immobilizer. I am not sure how that will work out in your case with your immobilizer bypass.

Thanks GERCO! Okay, I am having a hard time justifying $350 for the adapter harness from Hondata so I think I am just going to get the $14x AEM extension harness and just switch pins to match the 07 ECU, and then just add the CAN wires. I will keep you guys updated once stuff starts coming in.

Thanks! It was built in my shop, I had gone through two other designs before finalizing on this setup, but it looks promising. It was built mostly with .125 6061 Aluminum, TIG welded, press bent plentums, cad designed. The TB's were dissected and shaved, shafts extended. It's a pretty complicated setup, easily 100hrs into the project all said and done, but I could do another one in 40hrs if I had to. Going to wait to see how it performs before anything else. Runners were also fully ported as well. Car made 239whp with only the exhaust mods, nothing else done, so the intake system and tuning should really wake it up. I have an instagram if anyone wants to follow progress @52eightyperformance

My notes apply to 04-05 TL
Exactly what you need to get Flashpro to work on the 6mt Accord 03-07 *Sticky Please* - Honda Accord Forum : V6 Performance Accord Forums

06 TL might just need the canbus line, or if you have a navi then you will need to tap into the canbus line somewhere or get hondata harness + ecu swap to 07-08

07-08 ecu are direct plug and play.

I had an '06 non nav and I used the '08 Type S 6 MT ECU and canbus kit from Hondata.

Sick intake.

Unfortunatley I wasn't able to track down the AEM harness as they have been discontinued (Yet "in-stock" at multiple retailers lol) so I most likley will be going with the Hondata cable to make my life easy. Im starting to lean more towards Flashpro as Ktuner seems to have the lackluster support and attitude that make me want to not give them business again, but we will see. I still need my HDS cable to calibrate the dbw on the Intake, but it is fully finished now.

I am currently waiting for an HDS cable so I can calibrate the DBW because there is an idle surge. Once the tuner is installed then I will dyno to see gains and I will post them. Last Dyno was stock with full exhaust, so I will get results for the intake untuned and tuned to see how much can be gained from timing and DBW control.
