Noise (sounds like a tiny generator) while the car is off?

This is probably something normal, and I have no idea how I didn't notice it until now, but does anyone know what these 6G TLX's do that would cause a humming/generator sound while the car is parked and off? Went into my garage today to get something and could hear my Type-S humming. Only lasted a few minutes, and then stopped. Wish I had my phone on me to record it, but it sounded like a small generator.

Probably the fan didn't stop as the engine was too hot.

Had my Accord do this when all coolant was out because of a ripped hose. So be sure you still have the correct amount of coolant!

The car has been in the garage for two days now and hasn’t moved, so I’d be surprised if it was a fan. And if so, it’s definitely bad, lol.

M:y A-Spec does the same thing.

Definitely not a fan - not sure what it is.

Don't think it's anything to worry about.

The humming noise comes from the rear speaker(s) when the car is parked. This has been discussed a while back, and there is no solution to kill the noise.

I have heard something like what you have described. Here’s what I found out and what may be happening.

Thought the noice was coming from under the hood, but could be wrong. I'll pay closer attention next time.

Strange enough. In my cases, the buzzing noise didn't happen a few minutes or even a few hours after the car was parked inside the garage. It is a random occurrence, and it can happen many days after the car is parked. There may be other times the speaker(s) buzz too, but I wasn't inside the garage to hear the buzzing.

are you bringing the key near the car when this happens? I know with an older Lexus that had brake by wire that it would be the brake pump/booster priming when you brought the smart key near it or pressed the unlock button.

My key lives on a hook about 10' away from the front of the car in the kitchen.

My key fobs (both of them) are always stored inside a RF-shielding pouch inside my house, even when my TLX is parked inside the garage. I went out to the garage to dump garbage and I heard some weird low-pitch humming noise. For the first few times, I thought it was my neighbour using his power washer or weed eater. I took me many weeks to find out that the humming noise actually came from the rear end of my TLX.

That is from active noise cancellation.

Why would ANC try to cancel anything when the car is off?
