GM has been a pain with this car. They don't even sell the upper and lower control arm bushings for the front or the rear. You have to buy entire new control arms. There are companies working on replacements but nothing out yet. Have not found anyone making the ones for the shocks yet. New front shock is $370
How bad is it to leave it like that you think?

I'm sure you're not the only one with this problem so I'd do some searching.

So my squeaks for the time being up front are gone after an alignment. My toe on the drivers side was off by more than 1.5degrees. My guess is something must have come lose and wasn't torqued down properly for that to happen and then helped cause the noises I was getting. The back still bottomed out in the heat with the same load as last weekend so I am thinking I might just suck it up and replace the rear struts whenever my new mods arrive this month.

Was headed on a 1k+ miles road trip this past weekend so last week I decided it was a good time to change my rear diff fluid as I have been hearing more frequent groans from it. Was only about 2k miles short of my 10k oil change interval as well so decided I might as well do that at the same time. The next morning before leaving I gave her a good wash cause you can't start a road trip with a dirty car when it is supposed to be sunny all day. You can see my working buddy in the background.
The V in its natural habitat of consuming fuels.
Arriving at my buddies place. Had to grab a shot with my old ride. She is in good shape. He just had the carbon lip kit recleared and it came out fantastic.
Here is how she looks now with her new shoes he put on her.
Last week she crossed over the 1 year ownership point. During this trip I passed over having put 20k miles on her since I picked her up. My cars don't sit they get loads of miles put on them.

Damn...sexy sexy sexy...
and PS, what do you jack on to put the jack stands in those locations? I don't know why but I feel like those spots are weak and I use a block of wood on them!
Glad you had a safe trip, man...gorgeous whip...
so we have the V in common...then we have a sexy blue car we sold to a friend that we'll see occasionally in common too.

My jack stands have fairly flat tops so I just used the jack pionts in the back. In the front I used those boxed rails. Not completely sure if that is the best place but they haven't bent at all and they fit perfectly in the center channel of my one set of jack stands.
On the rear I jack on the back mount for the differential on the rear subframe. On the front I jack on the center brace of the lower sub frame. It has a black piece of plastic overing it but you can find it if you reach under and feel around for it. I know you are probably familiar with reaching around so that should be pretty easy

The V has a good exhaust note. The F has an amazing exhaust note with the ISSForged. Hopefully my impending purchase might fix the issue. We shall see.

No I haven't posted yet. I order the stupid thing the first week of March and it still isn't here yet. Hopefully it will be here by the end of the month.

Little bit of gas mileage information for anyone looking at a V.
In a little over 1 year and 20,236 miles of ownership I have gone through 1305.97 gallons at a total cost of $3171.05.
I average about 194.5 miles per tank. I average 4 days between fill ups and have filled up 104 times. My average for the year was 15.402mpg, lowest was 11.773mpg, and my highest was 20.781mpg.

That's what I was told that it should ship this week. I will believe it when I have a tracking number in hNd though. I bet you are excited. The first weekend or two in October I should have time to install it. I bet you are excited too.
