Another vote for those ASA GT8s.. I saw a similar wheel (possibly those) on a first gen V and it looked great.

Grave digger.. a little morbid.. like is the V going to get in some epic wreck that it digs your own grave.

Blown horse?

Vindictive.. Is that your personality? Like if someone cuts you off.. should they expect you to follow them to their house and beat the shit out of them.

Hmm.. if only TX had 8 letter plates.. VNDIKTV (Van Dick TV)

The plate I've always wanted is "MUVIML8" but I've yet to get a car worthy of having that plate. Would definitely work on the V though.

Bought winter tires and wheels. Tires already showed up and wheels should be here tomorrow. Still debating if I want to deal with getting a set of TPMS sensors for them when I am only going to use them 3-4 weeks a year max.

Get a set. They're relatively cheap, will do their job, and you won't have to stare at a dash light the entire time. I think it's worth the ease of mind.

I guess relatively cheap is relative. They are 1/5 the price of my winter wheels and tire setup. That is my hold up. I agree though it would be nice to get them and not have the light. I was able to get a used set for my Lexus for $100 but I don't seem to be having that luck on ebay with these.

It appears from different sources that cadillac uses either 315mhz or 433mhz sensors. I want if that is all I need to look for or if there is more to it.

A little bit more digging turns out that these will work. Ordered a set. Normally don't like black rubber stems but since these are going on black wheels it should look better.

Those will do and for a set of four for less than $100, do it. It would be aggravating for me to deal with the TPMS light on all winter. OCD.....

Any of the fellow wagon owners looking for the roof rack I found a seller on eBay that was willing to let it go for just $250 shipped. They had two left when I ordered mine. It just showed up.

So in about two weeks time I should have pictures of the wagon in winter setup with a roof box.

Right now the box I have is fairly big. It is a Yakima Skybox18.

I really want to pickup a Rhino Rack 14 or 17 box as the have a unique recessed mounting system so they sit lower on the car and are lower profile.

Wheels are here and I finally got them unboxed this weekend. I have one that has a 1/4in scratch on the finish on the very edge of the lip. I was debating on calling them and having them send me a new wheel. The next two I opened up were perfect. I opened up the last one and it has a 2in grind on the lip like someone curbed it basically but the rest of the wheel doesn't even look used. So now I need them to send me two wheels and I only have 10 days till I need them.

So what vanity plate did you decide on?

As far as a roof box, at least the lower profile box will save you a few pennies on fuel. I know that's not a primary concern, but still... You just have to make sure it fits in such a way that the rear hatch doesn't hit it when it goes up.

I forgot to thank you for the roof rack recommendation. I need to get my hands on one before they all disappear.

What comes with the roof rack assembly? Is it just the two cross bars?

I still have not decided on a plate yet. Hopefully I will at some point though cause I never made my mind up on the F in all the time I had it and never got one.

The lower profile box would be nice and it seems to sit perfect between the windshield and the rear hatch.

The one I have now has to hang over the windshield a bit and I still have to use the 3/4 open option on the rear hatch.

Here is one that is similar to what I have but mine is in all black plastic.

Here is what I eventually want to get. It will have 4 cubic ft less of space but I think it looks a lot better.

No problem guys for the link. If you all 3 buy one they won't have any left.

I should have used that in my dealing when putting my offer in. If I get the rest sold can I have a lower price.

So I am normally not much for all blacked out cars but I am contemplating blacking out all but the front grills on the wagon. Similar to this. Opinions?

Do youngsters still call that "murdered out"? On this car, it has some appeal.

I couldn't find these pictures last night but now I found them.

And then the grills I really want to get the black chrome ones to darken the front a bit but not black it out.

I don't really hate the chrome though so not sure completely yet. If I do it to start with I would just use plastic dip even though I am not sure I would be satisfied with the finish it will have it would at least let me try the look for much cheaper than vinyl.

You will be happy with plastidip...it flattens out as it dries so it looks even and resists rock chipping too...plus, when you change your mind, if you change your mind, you can probably just pressure wash it off.

Ok. So how well does it hold up to car washes? The pressure wash part worries me as I use my pressure washer all the tire to wash my car except this most recent time cause I was too lazy to dig it out.

Well I ordered a new set of factory front splitter cause mine had a crack in it when I got the car and I have glued it twice but it just doesn't seem to hold up and comes apart again. Plus the previous owner had painted them and it was flaking off.

Not more spending on the Vagon till bonus/tax return time next year unless maybe I pickup two cans of Plastic dip to black out the chrome. Keep going back and forth on that one.

Are you getting the chin splitter as well (V2V design)?
I think it completes the look. (...look at me trying to encourage you to spend LOL)

I need to order two splitters... previous driver curbed them up along with the bumper. in addition, F*** a$$holes at the garage i park at scratched my front bumper while the car was covered. needless to say, front bumper will be resprayed and i might as well replace the front splinters and likely add the V2V chin splitter to complete the look.

BTW thanks again for the luggage rack link . they are shipping it shortly.
