I think you're going to love it. When I was in high school I used to babysit a family, and the mom had an extra car which was an 04 325Ci Convertible. I got to drive it all the time, and it was epic. I do love the E90/91/92/93 as well, but they're a little more pricey. There's so much love for the E46, and it's awesome.

I yellow laminx'd my headlights for shits and giggles yesterday. I've had it photoshopped into my avatar picture for a while, so I decided to do it before a big event this upcoming weekend. Not sure whether I like it yet, but I'll probably get pulled over after about 5 minutes of driving with them anyway. I think when I add the final couple sponsor decals to the car along with my magnetic numbers, it'll have just the right amount of ridiculousness.

Not sure about VA but i have seen plenty of cars on the road here with yellow headlight (Laminx'd)

Is that dealer or factory painted? And why are they charging for leather?
Factory, its through the individual program. They'll paint the car in any color you want for $5k-$8k depending on the color (pearl, flake, candy, metallic, flat, etc) and get you whatever color interior as well for a similar cost.
BMW charges for leather on every car. "Leatherette" is standard, the real stuff is a $2k option...which is ridiculous on a $63k car but so is the fact that they charge for back up cameras and navigation when both are standard on a $15k Corolla.
