i spent about two hours yesterday and got a layer on the bottom of the trunk done. not gonna rush on the install and it'll probably take three or four more days getting it done.
so far with a single layer on the trunk (no seats and trunk panels installed yet), it killed lotta exhaust resonance and its definitely noticeable. gonna start loving the raammats now
they are lighter, thinner, cheaper, and safer (dynamat's sharp foil
) than dynamat

I send anyone who needs paint there.
If/When you go there, ask to see their shop and the cars they are working on at the SoCal speed shop. Good stuff in there. When i went to check on my car when i was hit, it was parked between a Porsche race car, and a Pantera

Life time.
I had some dirt in my clear coat on my trunk and brought it to their attention over the winter. I also told them that i wanted to do a spoiler on the car so they said when i was ready to bring it back and get it all done at once.
Here we are today, got the spoiler and adding custom molding, and a new front bumper to the bill.
The guy i work with there told me he would mold the spoiler for $500 (That cost is body filler/man hours of 8ish hours) paint is free on the trunk. But since the paint will already be mixed, hes only charging me $250 for the front bumper.
Let me know if you want his contact info, and ill dig up his card.

How long are you going to be there for?
Are tint shops up there sketchy about putting tint on the front window?

not sure if you'll need two rolls for the whole car. think i used almost half of the 64sqft roll doing a good one layer on the trunk, rear wheel well, rear shelf, and some of the rear side panels.
can't wait to see the result!!

Me either...just nervous about cutting the front lip
I'd be up for some golf that day. Even though my rotator cuff surgery is pending (late August), the surgeon gave me the OK to play! Even got it in writing on the visit summary as proof to my wife.
If I play bad, at least I can blame it on my shoulder...

Where are you looking? I generally play 9-hole courses because I don't have the time for 4-5 hour rounds. Lots of decent 9-hole courses in Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Bethany Area. How about Claremont GC? Look at Oregongolf.com and pick the Portland Area to see what's out here.
trunk, rear shelf, rear panel, rear pillar panel, rear wheel well finished.
put all the trunk panel back on. hoping it'll dramatically change the noise
btw... one full roll is almost finished and still haven't done the doors and front floors yet

"Michelbook"? Never heard of it. I thought you were moving to McMinnville - the closest course to Mac is Bayou GC, according to Oregongolf.com. Is this a new course?
It is in mac, it's a very old course but I think it's private, maybe that's why it doesn't show up? I can try and find the website when I get home from work tonight
http://www.michelbook.com/ Here you go Bonk.
I'd be down for Bayou though, haven't played that course for years.

exhaust resonance isn't much improved with or without the interior panels
but road noise is definitely reduced noticeably on highways.
i noticed one weird thing while driving around town. exhaust gets louder with longer driving time. it seems like exhaust tone gets louder as exhaust heats up and tones back down as it cools

rear seat, rear floor, rear exhaust tunnel, front driver's floor covered with one layer today. only spot i didn't get to is passenger front and four doors. after doing passenger front, i'll probably have some left over to do one door. thought i could cover the whole car with a one full roll but it requires some more than a roll.
resonance/drone is still there but its alot subdued. road noise improved for sure. i think a bottom layer of raammat and a top layer of ensolite will be more affective than multiple layers of raammat itself.
