Looking forward to some cool weather, makes sleeping at night that much easier lol

Need to install central air just have to convince landlord to let me do it. 5 portable AC's had my power bill over 300.00/month last year, thats no good, better off installing a more efficient central ac and just biting the cost when I leave.....

Sheesh! That's lot for 1 month's electric bill. I have central air in my 2300+ sf home, and I pay about $250/month during the Summer months, and it's me, the wife, the two boys and the dog running AC about 18 hours/day.

So ive decided that i hate Oregon Job Market...been surfing craigslist and jobdango and hirevetsfirst all morning and i think i sent out 3 resumes...

By no means am i being picky with my search but it seems like the only openings require 9342098354 years experience which sucks for those like me who spent the last 4 years in the military.

Anyone know of any job openings?

It's interesting how when the economy was booming in the 90's that if you had some slip of paper from a university stating you were an educated idiot you could write your own ticket to a job. Now with the idiots failing because they have no market experience they are dropping like flies and the ones that are left are clammering for the old word experienced employee to come back and save their ass....

in other words, f*** college lol, overpriced brain washing IMHO, want a job these days get into the trades!

Ok now with my rant over with, I saw that Comcast was hiring technicians by my house if you'd be interested in that.

Your last job was at FEI, so I assume you have strong tech skills right? Have you checked with recruiters like EdgeLink and Apex? I've interviewed and hired applicants from both of them. EdgeLink I think, is particularly good at placing folks. I don't know what their fees are for job-seekers though, sorry.

I hear it every day from my wife on how there are no jobs for project management or even exect. admins. but i am still thinking mid summer it should start picking up.. stock market is slowly turning around so i would think the trickle effect is rolling slowly

Serisouly im still not sure how i got the job at FEI. I got it straight out of the military with no tech background at all. But im not a idiot, i understand how to read blow ups of products and i can follow build sheets. So after building something a couple times its all easy, but with only 5 months working there every seems to brush that to the side when they want 5-10 years exp. Hell i havnt even worked that long in my life yet

The one good thing i have going is military background, but like i said before the job market is garbage, and even if i was to get a job no one is paying. Id have to make $15 + a hour to equal what i was making before and stay above water and no one is willing to fork over that amount. So unless i get a job in wilsonville/tualatin area its not worth the drive/gas.
I tell people that there is no perk for me to get off unemployment right now. Sadly each day goes by and its showing to be more true each day.

I miss texas.

When its hot you just go to Green Belt and swim all day getting drunk.

Just dont get to drunk and try and walk across a 8ft water fall, my legs hurt for a while after that.

Oh...RV6 Strut bar is here...weeeeeeeee

found main reason why magnaflow setup was damn loud. the exhaust can is only 5" x 8" and inner diameter of atlp tip is at least 3" each. so basically outlet of the muffler is opened up too much and can't keep the noise down and resonates the whole trunk area.

i plugged two of four tips with damp rags and it sure toned down the drone and sounds almost perfect to my taste. gonna go back to the exhaust shop tomorrow and narrow down the exhaust outlet to about 2" each or block out two of four openings.
