I never put mine on, cutting the bracket for more pulley clearance was a waste of time for the benefit IMHO.

JTso says that if you get the ETD set to the right stiffness etc... it wont vibrate but it can require alot of massaging. Johnny is pretty knowledgeable so I'd believe in what he says. However; he was running a custom ETD set up, I haven't heard of anyone talking about cabin vibration with the Ingalls set up, just alot of complaints about poor fitment

hmmm.. just curious if really should add it just for the possible benefit of keeping power to the wheel.. it honestly seems more like the bling factor to add more then anything else..
did you get a ingalls chris? or you go with a diff one?

I had the ingalls when it first came out but again never got around to it. Some people swear there is a benefit to it, others claim it's more for decoration and I myself can't claim either because I sold it without ever installing it.

Have you thought about poly engine mounts? May provide some of the rigidity you're looking for but you wouldn't have to modify anything. With the ingalls you have to mod the bracket to keep it from rubbing on the hood and avoid it possibly hitting your pulley's.

i dont mind the modification of it.. gives me more time to fiddle around.. i dont think they make poly motor mounts for our car yet.. otherwise i would look into that further.. i dont know.. maybe i will waste the money for it and see if i can make it work

i say def get a ETD -

i know on my TC - not sure thats a great comparision - but it was one of my fav mods especially for the $$. it rattled on the TC when i started it and if i was sitting at a light just idling - but it wasn't heard over my radio - so if its somewhat the same - im sure it cant be too different - unless you drive around in silence - i doubt you'll hear it

all of you and your new wheels, I'm jealous.

So this morning I roll into work, park my usual spot, and bam open my door and 2 used condoms and a can of beer, what a way to start the day, evidence of a drunken orgy next to my car. My spot has been defiled.

On a lighter note looks like Obama may not be getting his tax hikes after all! Woot! That makes just about everything he said he was going to do to get elected gone and forgotten, which in turn would make him a liar which I was saying all along. My favorite though of all was his "no war" stance, as in all the troops come home, he beat that drum to death over his campaign and now, it has changed to no war in Iraq, but all those troops will just be redeployed to Afghanistan instead. He is the BIGGEST idiot of all time, I mean literally it's laughable, we would have been better off with Hillary in office or another 4 years of G.W. So join me in mourning another 4 years of moronic leadership, in fact the most moronic 4 years we have experience since Carter's embargo on oil causing gas lines a mile long. AWESOME, I say cheers to Obama.

Oh yes, and Joes outdoor (formerly G.I. Joes) has filed for chapter 11 protection. Economy just keeps getting more sour and our leadership is incompitent. Hold on folks it's going to get a bit rough.

Speaking of taxes, I got this email today:

Starting in March 2009, new withholding tables have been implemented that may change the amount of income tax withheld from your wages. The new tables, prescribed by the Department of the Treasury, reflect the Making Work Pay credit and other changes resulting from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Most associates will see a decrease in the their tax withholding amounts. You do not have to do anything to receive the automatic withholding change.

Checked my electronic pay stub - I got a whopping $32 more this pay period - that's an extra tank of gas!

yea, even though jj, nick, and i test fitted with the template, i wasn't 100% positive it'll clear when the offset was higher than oem. plus aspecs and ames are manufactured by enkei too.

wish the offsets were +40 and push out the wheels a little. spokes flare out a bit but they are tucked well in the fenders. ame makes +38 offset too but it'll sure rub fenders like the 5zigens i had previously. also +38 is not in stock and have to wait at least 3 months.

either i'll go with 5mm spacers all the way or use the 245/40/18 goodyear f1 sitting in the storage.

lets do some photoshoot around next week when the weather improves. also i have one more small mod to do before the shoot.

maybe i'll try them when the wheels are getting unmounted for the hubcentric rings. and yea upto 5mm don't need the stud extension.

called jim bacon's and les schwab to see if they have correct fitting hubcentric rings. can't believe these tire guys are so uneducated and vague about hubcentric rings plus i got transferred over 4 times at les schwab to talk to the right guy who knows about hub rings

Yea i have deff no need for two subs.

Also that covers the pass through door, which is the problem i had with my old set up, and not being able to get into the trunk if car was dead.

Ill get some pics soon.

gmorning oregon, its fridayyyy....

SORRY i've been like a troll coming in and out of here only once awhile lol.

i got a question for the TL owners... anyone of you guys take it in for the tsb for rear tires wearing too quick or has it been fixed due to the drop and camber kit???
my tires are worn on the inside of the rear tires like my car's lowered with bad camber or something but its not...... i got new tires right before oil change and my oil life is at <20% right now!!! so it hasn't been too much driving

takin it in next sat so they can take a look at it...

or should i just get a camber kit if that'll fix it???
