With the RDX I just leave the all-season tires on until I have a confirmed report of snow the next day. Then I spend the night before pulling out the air compressor, swapping out the tires and adding air. As soon as the snow is manageable they come back off. Driving around with those on the rig is soooo loud that you can't stand it. It typically makes for a shitty week of cold fingers and broken backs, but driving around on your snow tires in 50 degree weather will make them disappear real quick. They are too soft for the warm weather.

Been car shopping every weekend to see how much we can get out of the FX. $22k was the max trade in offer so far and was getting very close to purchasing this one.
http://www.nwjeep.com/used/Infiniti/...ec9a25e63a.htm
They didn't wanna budge another $1k so we walked off, and now they want us back and make a deal (typical dealer scenario). Stupid for them is we're out of market for new car now. Mother in law called two days ago about great real estate investment in Korea and we are planning to sell the FX and dump that money + our savings into the property.
Brandon, go take a look at that FX. Its really nice with options loaded and price is cheaper than others in the market.
Now, I need a cheap daily beater and just found this.
1993 Accord SE. Looks like its in really great condition.

or...
2001 Acura CL. Scary about tranny issue though..

Rolled the dice an you actually walked out, they are idiots. It takes so much money just to get your wheels to turn in to that lot. Still not a bad offer. What was the lowest, $17k?
#8046
that is a clean FX i will have to take a look at it..
i would choose the accord.. IMO just more options..
been looking for a project car lately.. i settled on a lexus SC.. 1992-95 once found i plan to do a 1jz or 2jz swap.. make it a weekend warrior vehicle..

Spotted a Legend sedan with TypeII engine and 6spd tranny for $4500 too. But I kinda like the CB7 Accord better with more options on the parts and smaller body.

lol, if you have any qualms with the ILX, don't set foot in the forum and post your honest opinion. I did say it was a nice car, just didn't like a few things here and there, and they really weren't too happy.
I mean really now, do some people need approval for their auto purchases? Are some people so impressionable that they can't stand to hear negative opinions of their car for fear that they may think they made a mistake in their purchase? Not to mention this is the internet and all...
When it comes to my CL, it's not about whether I like it, it's about whether VTECRacerdawg420 likes it or not.

p.s. 125k miles is low for an 01? My 03 has a little less than 94k, and I thought that was kinda so-so myself... But $5k is a good price. I did a KBB on my CL and it's like $7260.
and I've had my 03 CL-S for over 4 years and no trans issues (*knocks on wood*) just make sure it's the most up to date trans (they did a couple patches and redesigns over the years following the recall) and just keep it well maintained with trans fluid flushes every 2 years.
Or you can just do what some people on the CL forum do and fit up an Odyssey transmission on it. I'd do it myself, but too much work, IMO.

people are so weird about the whole negative thing.. you can thank those anti bully people for that.. and the people who thing there kids deserve a trophy regardless what place they come in.. i guess society is catching up to it.. bunch a pussies if you ask me..
#8054
I agree, let's just call them a what they are, a fuckin' looser. I saw this new "everybody is great" thing coming a long time ago at another company. Let's give him a pin, they said, because he's been here 5 years. I said, "but he's a retard." They said, "even better." I said, "Good, let's give him a pin that say's, 'Best Retard'."
#8055
haha HOW DARE YOU SAY THE R WORD TOO... PSHHHHHHH you got those people? even special needs people cant have the word retard used against them.. and how dare someone call there best friend GAY cause they did something lame.. general society blows.. i can only hope 2012 cleansing is real and most of these fucks are delt with.. i will go back to caveman style just to be happy i dont mind
#8056
Nope. It is getting worse. I see them everyday. Typically the worst around age 20. They are really stuck on themselves (not that I wasn't too). The difference is I gave a little more respect to the people that were older than me because they WERE actually smarter than I. But not in today's world. These spoiled brats are convinced that they are brilliant. Then you read their stuff on the printer and it's full of large words that would be great, if they were used correctly in a sentence.
When you get to be my age, and you've been cuffed and stuffed, you express a little more humility towards your fellow being. Trouble is, these kids have never been told that their shit stinks.

It is lowered on HFP suspension. Perfect stance imo. hellafunctional bitch.

I don't really like that pinched nose look on the new Lexus models. Even on the new FX has that look and I don't like it.
Like the new 2013 Accord though. This new Accord will sure kill the sales of Acura TSX and ILX. And that LED headlamp Only thing they could've done better will be the rear-end. Looks too similar to the Genesis sedan.
It'll look really good about 1/4" lower

But if you think of it, mpg isn't too bad considering its little over 4300lbs with awd and 20" wheels with 265 width tires. After test driving the 2nd gen FX, I'm pretty sure it'll get about 24~25mpg on highway easily with that 7spd auto keeping rpm really low when cruising.

that new accord does look nice.. ive always liked the look of the accord minus the 93 model honestly i am curious why acura would do a tsx when an accord could have all the same things only alittle cheaper
#8072
I would say domestic accord is the TL competition. The TSX was really a mid-line european model that they dressed up for entry level luxury in the US to fill the gap left behind by the Integra
#8073
This JDM Accord and USDM Accord separation started when Acura started selling made in USA TL (3rd Gen) and marketed JDM Accord as a TSX. I heard from the news that this new Accord will be sold worldwide as "Accord." So no more selling JDM Inspire as a USDM Accord. Also this means TSX will soon disappear since Acura doesn't have JDM Accord anymore to rebadge it as Acura TSX. And who would buy TSX now that this new Accord Touring is little cheaper than TSX with Tech package.
Accord Touring MSRP 34220
TSX Tech MSRP 34505
Accord Touring MSRP 34220
TSX Tech MSRP 34505

the TSX and TL i heard are suppose to go away and they are combining what both did in 1 model.. (we will see though) maybe call it the TLX? really they need a coupe model
does the accord v6 have paddle shifting? and heated seats? makes more sense to take the 2 or 3 hp loss in the v6 and go for it over the tsx

No paddles on the V6 sedan. The V6 coupe gets them though. Also, the sport 4cyl gets them. IDK what they were thinking not giving them to the touring. That's the ultimate model, it should get all the toys... That's likely a way they kept the price down on it while adding all those insane features to it.

Same deal with other companies like Porsche. 911's are a couple hp within each other. Unless you are buying a GT3, you're getting the same car as your nieghbor.
I guess everyone wants to be just like the Jones's 'cept for the wheels and sport crono package.
Getting the winter blues already. Even I might need to make some changes to my wheels, sick of the OEM look.

Honda's adding a bunch of stuff on their highest volume car. It makes perfect sense. The sales of the Accord will pay for the R&D and lower the cost of manufacturing for the new tech. This will allow them to trickle the tech down to the other cars, and offset the cost of adding new tech to the Acura brand cars, thus moving them upstream. Based on the Accord, I see all of Acura's cars getting significant upgrades in all areas in the next 3-4 years.

Lower that thing first. It'll look aggressive.

-Lane watch camera
-Lane departure warning (little annoying on my FX. always turned off)
-Front collision warning
-Adaptive cruise control
-LED headlights
-V6 278hp/252tq with 21city/34highway mpg
Acura will needs some upgrades soon to keep a premium image compared to Honda. By the way, I still don't see Acura as higher tier compared to Honda

Was going to take a picture of it, then thought to myself, "why?"
Really do miss that new car smell though.
