Thats funny kevin, cause you told me to go to either QTs or TNT. Pretty sure my car came out fine, and they even did some extra work for free. Their shops seems a lot more organized... QT looked like it had a whole bunch of scrap parts everywhere...

 

Yea i told u to go to TNT but I just recently seen 3 cars from there and they look like shit.... I feel bad for sending people to places and then they do shit like not work on cars and what not, its gives me a bad name

 

I did went to TNT but they said they can't do it. I already paid QT and I was thinkin if it takes any longer I just might get my money back and try the bay area. QT told me by the end of April they'll have it done, so I don't know was up wit them. I was gonna ask the owner but he was on lunch and I got other things to do so I didnt want to wait. Kevin if you can, can you see wats up with them cuz you know them better. If not then thats cool ill just take it somewhere.

Thanks Kevin and don't feel bad about it. Its all good if you haven't refer me to QT then I would of never get this project done. And as long as I know that there is a shop who's willing to tackle the job where other shops said no, its ok for me. the owner didn't give any written form or a receipt but he did write down my contact info, name, phone, car make/model and the amount onto a profile folder. I'm guessing its a first come first serve, cuz there where a few cars that they where working on b4 I took my in. So I guess they havent gotten to my car yet. But lets hope for the best

Anyone know of a shop in the Citrus Heights/Rosevile area that can roll fenders relatively inexpensively? I added 25mm on the rear wheels, and I'm getting some rub on the tire on the rear. Want to fix it the right way for as little amount as possible.

Have you heard of the baseball bat method ? Someone recently told me about that.
Requires a.jack, baseball bat. Might wanna take yur spacers off when you do it to create.the clearance necessary for it to work.

 

Put.a wood bat on the shoulders of the tires and GENTLY lower yur car so that the radius of the bat folds the interior of your fender wells. Move the bat/tire across the inner fender and.repeat a couple times while lowering the jack each time. Takes balls and patience but will look uniform if done correctly.

I still can't believe they haven't started on it... it only took them 2 days to my side skirt that I had painted a while ago...

but they did loose 3 people that worked there they went to higher paying jobs outside the automotive/body shop industry so its only like 4 people working there now...if that, I just found that out also!

 

^ Really, cuz I drop off my car on Saturday and it looks like their open. I guess the rest of the QT guys dont know how to do it. only the owner Quan I think thats his name only knows how to do it. So I'm guessin their waiting on him. But at lease do something so that I'll know that my car is being worked on, not just leave it in the same spot gathering dust.

Wow... So rolling fenders isn't a common trade around here, heh? Bummer. I considered grinding the fenders down a bit, but I though that rolling them might have a cleaner result. I have a buddy that has a a grinder that would work, so maybe I'll go that route. My left rear tire is getting pretty tore up on the shoulder. Fortunately, these tires only have about 10k left on them before they are retired. But the occasional rubbing is disconcerting.

Yea, he used a grinder or cutter something like that. It's clean. Then he sprayed some of that underbody rubber coating on the edge so that it wouldn't rust.
You also have to keep in mind that if you roll it, then there's a chance that the paint could crack.

lol guess what Kevin, I stop by QT today and spoke to Quan and he said that he was sick for almost a month. That's why he didn't get to work on my car. But he said he just started working on my car this Monday and said that he'll have it done by the end of next week. Plus I only see 2 other guy besides Quan working in the shop. But at least he started working on it. If not then I would of ask for my money back. So I'm just waiting til the end of next week
