Dang, check craigslist for some part outs, maybe ride around until you need to go in for a smog. I don't think it hurts your engine.

Yea i found one on cl already some guys parting out his 2g and just happened to be parting the cat from it, but im not gonna buy it because id rather just get a brand new one. But im gonna ride around for awhile for now because i dont think it hurts my engine either (if im wrong correct me) and im trying to spend my money wisely towards fixing the other problems of my car which have grew a lot lately lol. (new tires, new oil pan, new cat) -.-

 

Might hurt your MPG and engine performance from the signal being sent from the secondary post-cat O2 sensor but nothing that will damage your engine.

Guess you'll have to look for a universal cat then right? Cause buying a cat from acura is just going to be straight expensive. Or this might be a good time to upgrade to a high flow cat, I wonder if those are smog legal.

Yea ive got a shop that sold me a brand new one that was universal for 100 when i used to mob my old GSR and it needed to have the cat replaced for smog purposes. so i might hit them up again sometime soon for the replacement on this one.

As for a photoshoot im down but i just cant do weekends cause i always work them and work on mondays and wednesdays as well.

As for the meet im pretty bummed i cant go cause i work every friday and saturday otherwise id be down for a caravan out there.

There will be a late night meet happening this friday at davis, ca. Was passed the word along by a v6-p member. I may attend depending on the number of people going.

Location is TBA but it will be in davis. Time is 9pm to midnight. Anybody interested in going? I am.

Anyway, there's a buzzing/humming sound when I turn the steering wheel. Do you guys know what could be causing it?

So i've been reading around some lexus, audi and bmw forums and it seems like everyone is telling the OPs that have the same problem that it's the wheel bearing and sometimes they suggest topping off the power steering fluid.

Do you guys think the wheel bearing could have been damaged when I got hit? Seems like the sound is coming from the front left, and when I got into my accident the guy hit my front left wheel.

 

Hmm. Is this noise coming when your in motion or only when you turn the wheel?
Ive done my front bearings and bouta do my rear, the noise stands out.

 

It's kinda weird. Started early friday morning when it was super cold. Usually doesn't come on until the car is warmed up, but when it does happen it's when the car is moving or standing still. When I turn the wheel I can feel some vibration in the steering wheel. The night that it was the worst the sound was present even when i wasn't turning the wheel...

I dont think that what your describing is the bearings. Maybe something to do with suspension but the symptoms of bearings are when your moving and hear noise. Maybe a bad axle?
