My drilled rotors are warping after a year.

I would pass and get the slotted*

* But you have to be able to resurface them if they are slotted...otherwise what's the point...?

The research I remember was that if you did try to resurface the drilled...it messes up a bevel they cut on the holes.

Without that bevel...it becomes fragile at those drilled holes in the rotor.

Also...bedding in the rotors correctly is important and I am not truly sure how to do that.

Just what I heard...I'm not an engineer.

I think drilled look better but it's about what makes sense I guess.

I'm trying to find this really good thread...

We were just discussing this issue in CL forum.

EDIT:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/r1-concept-rotors-717022/

Some good info. in there on changing out rotors.

but slotted can be resurfaced right?

bedding in the rotors is easy. just do 8, 60mph to near 0mph hard stops back-to-back. Dont wait long between the hard stops. but not hard enough for ABS to engage. The task is to heat up the rotor so that the brake pad material transfers to the rotor.

Someone said both could be re-surfaced.

But then someone said...that if you resurfaced drilled...it made the rotor weak around the drilled holes...

So...

it was discussed here too kevin:
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/oem-714461/

are you gonna get it instead of the metal Type S badge? cause this would be a cheap way to do it.

OK...pics are mostly completed of my shoot with wdp415...

There were actually #3 3rd Gen TL's...but they other guys split early.

I haven't worked on their photos yet because they aren't Aziners.

Aziners have priority processing...

Anyways...if anybody wants to check it out.
