Hi guys! After MONTHS of searching, I finally picked up a 1G TSX for my daily driver. It's an 06 auto with Navi with 51K miles. This forum looks kinda dead, but I'm hoping to learn things and slowly modify the TSX. I just did a quick clay/wax on it over the weekend.

If anyone is/knows someone selling a 5th generation Prelude (Auto, preferably, even though the auto tranny blows), please let me know. I'm in the market for a daily driver.

You mean Quiet in the bay... haha

Yes, this is a very quiet forum the past couple years. Our car are getting too old or we are getting too broke!

The bay thread used to be very active 2008-2010, then everyone grew older, stopped modding, had kids, moved, bought new cars.

Tell him Chris from AcuraZine sent you. He will take care of you as he has a great relationship with many members here.

Need help with tranny swap

TLS to CL. Willing to donate some leftover TLS parts to anyone willing to help. Let me know what you need.

By the way located in the east bay, and if you have a location to do work, even better.

Hey guys. I recently moved to Walnut Creek from Jacksonville FL. I have a '12 TL and a '13 ILX. For anyone else in the East bay, what are your experiences with the local Acura dealerships and which one do you find has the best service?

Are there any local Acura meets you guys attend or any other car events of worthy note? Would be nice to see you all and your rides.

Here is my '13 ILX 2.4.

It's pretty dead now. Most have kids or moved on to other cars. There is going to be an Acurafest meet in April, I believe it's still going on.

Stevens creek is the most shaddy dealership I have ever been to. They scratched my car after being told not to wash the car and wrote on the body of my 1 month old car with paint pen. You should try to change you own oil. The cost $160, the hassle of turning down all the bs they want to do and the almost certain damage they will do to the car is not worth it. You are getting $30 worth of service for whatever they are charging and changing oil one of the easiest things you can do even without a garage.

Hi all,

I recently came back from North Carolina for school. Looking for a shop or anyone that's knowledgeable enough to install the OEM ground effects kit for my 3G Acura TL Type-S. I've had it for a while but haven't had a chance to put it on. I would appreciate any input on where to get it done reliably and affordable. Thanks in advance.

And I apologize if this post isn't appropriate.

bad part is i live in an apartment and have no space to do it. fremont wasn't too bad. a lot easier to get around than the stevens creek dealership.

Waddup, I'm out here in WC as well. There's another dude(roger) around here too.

I ALWAYS go to Hopkins(Fairfield) Acura. I heard the Concord location has issues.

I traded in my 3G for a 5G there recently.

Get at me if you're ever in the Dublin/Pleasanton area! Although I do venture up to the Concord/WC area once in a long while...

Did you look at the DIY? I did it on my car and it was very easy. Finding them was the hardest part.

I think I saw the DIY for the 04-06, but I know the 07-08 has an extra switch correct?

Was at a sushi place off of Automall in Newark/Fremont last night with the ex and after getting into my car two young guys approach me about an Acura meet about to take place. I couldn't stay as we had plans. They mentioned a UA6 group on Facebook to look them up yet I can't find anything. I mentioned azine and they were like "yeah". I was like OK it's time to go, think my ex was giving them the stare.

Driving out my ex goes "I don't notice anything different about your car" she's a bit air headed and I'm thinking "really with all that drone" lol. I let it loose a little to show off haha.

Do you guys have a good shop in the East/South Bay area for aftermarket wheels to do balancing? Im getting vibration at 60-65mph on my new xxr 530 wheels with conti dws06 225/40. The shop balanced the rim and tires and had an alignment done, but didnt feel the vibration until hitting the freeway. I'm also dropped on Tein SA as well.
