Twin Cities Acuras
just drive up to MAP matt, lol.
i seafoamed mine thru the intake manifold nipple thing. dunno how many cylinders it actually hit but damn it feels so much better.
and 200 bucks for a good set of headers, sounds like a steal

Some people tried to argue slowly letting it into the intake to get pulled into the manifold, and just about everyone shot that down real quick because of the distribution reason.
As far as I remember on h22's the vacuum connection is pretty close to the center of the manifold. I'll have to check in a picture because I havent owned a prelude for almost 2 years now, but I seem to remember that.

H22 is off center to the right just a hair. We have a built one up here right now. It would technically do the same thing if you think about it. Its dead center so the center runners would get most of the seafoam. Standard gravity, fluid, and velocity would apply here. It would go straight down. Fluid goes to the path of least resistance.
I took apart a k20a that was seafoamed and you could actually see were it hit on the intake manifold.
sounds like the way to do it, don't want to mess up my engine and i'm not the most engine-ly gifted person
I can't help but think that this is the place that Dan took his CL Type S to and the bill ended up being more than double what was quoted, and they didn't even call to let him know it was going to be more. It was a nice surprise when we walked in to pick the car up!
I am pretty sure that is the place, but could be wrong, I'm waiting for Dan to correct me.
He had a new timing belt put on, camber kit in the rear. The guys were apparently no familiar with the rear suspension and ended up cutting the stock units off instead of putting the allen in the bolt and using a box wrench to get the nuts off.
If it is a place in a kind of office park, facing away from the street toward some grass at the edge of the parking lot, then that is the spot. Six guys on computers in the front room selling parts and what seemed like 2-3 people actually working on cars. It seemed to be a totally EVO/Mitsu shop.

WannabeG- I might be going to Uni this friday, I can't imagine many people are going to show up after this week.
ek20a2- I can bring the pizza and seafoam (actually where do you get this stuff, autozone?) I just need you to help with the whole process and 2 questions..
1. Does it matter how much gas is in the tank?
2. I have high mileage and i highly doubt this has ever been seafoamed, so am I going to want to change the oil right away or later? how much later? new plugs?

Ok, i'm starting my homework right after this... But i feel like i should share my plans on waht i need to do soon..
1. HID kit for my fogs to make them work again.
2. Rewire VIPS to have a purpose and install Footwell LeDS
3. Seafoam/New Sparkplugs/Clean Air filter-- Hopefully this weekend
4. find throttle body spacer that fits 99 tl
Any thoughts on what to do or orders? This is just my somewhat immediate things to do, but number 3 is actually number 1 in priority..

I have been working here since the new building. We have been in the building in the picture for about 3 months now. I don't remember any CL or TL Being in here.
But, I wouldn't doubt it. The guys in the back aren't familiar with honda's at all. They hired me and had me move in from michigan to head up the honda world. I have been building since I was 14 and been in the Distribution and Retail side of parts since I was 16. I'm 22 now.
I'm sorry that your buddy might of had an issue with them previously. I promise nothing like that will happen with me here. I'll be doing all the work personally for any honda/acura that comes in. Doesn't it make you feel good that the person doing the work on their car has the same vehicle?

Have your buddy contact me personally on here, I'll take care of him to make up for any past issues. That is if it was us in the first place.
The old building did have a few guys up front selling parts and was very small. The new building is HUGE and each employee has their own office. We also carry over 400,000 dollars worth of stock at all times and have an AWD Dyno in its own Dyno cell.
I'll be getting a set of headers in shortly and getting some pictures before and after for ya guys. Anyone locally want to pick up a set to install and dyno it on our dyno? Granted you will have to pay the price for it, but you will get a set of 3 dyno pulls for free.

1) Do 1/3 bottle in the gas tank, on a full tank of gas. Your burning the stuff with ur gas, so you dont want it too concentrated.
2) Hi milage runs the risk of opening up oil leaks as I stated. I would never run more than ~200 miles with it in the oil, and while its in there, dont be always reving the crap out of your car. After you put it in you engine cylinders, rev the piss out of it until it stops smoking... THEN put it in you oil and just drive normal for a few hundred, then oil change.
I dont think plugs are an issue, I'd just change them if they already look bad. I may be wrong, but I never changed them and never had a prob.
Good luck!
Seafoam eats the inner porcelain of the spark plug causing a less concentrated spark. It will make it not spark directly on the over hanging electrode.
Also, when doing seafoam. Around 100 miles of driving with it in the motor. Please please please take off your upper intake manifold inspection plate and clean it.. It is disgusting.

I'm curious as to what my headers and CAI is putting out. If I can afford it, Im dead serious about dropping by one of these days.
I am thinking you are right. No better car for the money honestly. They have sooo much potential and nobody is capsizing this.
ASUJosh1 - I understand were your coming from. I don't take it to heart. Every company has there little issues when they first open up. But we went from those days to being one of the biggest online stores out there. We have tripled in size for a reason
Give us a shot, I'll take you up on that beer. Lets setup a meet at old chicago or something in the area!
Everyone down?

It's got to be either tonight or tomorrow night for me, I'm heading to STL on Thursday after work. If you want to meet downtown, Grumpy's has a nice sized parking lot that we can all park in.
By the way, capsizing is when you overturn a boat or a ship. I think you were going for capitalizing? - They don't call me the punctuation Nazi for nothing!

Mr. Map dude (keep forgetting your name) do you do any work with the VQ motor? I'd like to get a plenum spacer and if you could hook me up, i'd come to you

Capsizing means to overturn. I'm looking to overturn the V6 Honda World and offer something else besides the rice mods...
So either or, Capsizing or capitalizing!
On dyno days, we do $50 for 3 pulls. Its already on, why not? haha.
Yes, we can do work with the VQ Motor. Stop on in!
