I agree on this to an extent. Depending on how someone sets up their sound system for their listening tastes can impact how one song sounds from one car to another. I think it is a good idea to use a single song or two for judging purposes as long as those getting judged in that category are in agreement.

Those that are having their sound system judged, do you have any recommendations on what song/songs to be used in judging? Are you ok with only 1 or 2 songs being used on all the cars?

I was harrassed by Iowa State troopers last time I drove to this meet. Hope they leave me alone this time. They were waiting for me as I exited the highway to get gas. They parked across street from gas station waited for me to leave, followed for a bit then pulled me over. Grabbed me, pulled me out of my car, and threw me in the back of the police car without explaining anything to me. Then he searched through my entire car and found nothing. Came back asking me if there was anything illegal in the car or if it is stolen. He ended up trying to give me a tint ticket, but I explained I lived in Illinois and my tint is legal there. He tried to tell me that does not matter, I am in Iowa now.

He ended up letting me go without even a warning because he had no reason to harrass me to begin with. I will have my gopro camera attached to my harness bar recording trip this time.

ALRIGHT GUYS-WE ARE ONE WEEKEND AWAY FROM THE NATIONAL MEET!!!!

Here is the plan for Friday Night and BBQ at Oklahoma Joe's.....

We will meet at the host hotel (Clarion Hotel (at 7000 West 108th Street Overland Park, KS 66211) at 5pm on Friday night in the parking lot. Since all the people that are coming early for the meet will be at the hotel, it's the logical place to meet. We will all caravan over to the Oklahoma Joe's in Olathe, KS after that. If we don't leave early, we will be waiting in line to get food at the restaurant.


Here is the plan for Saturday Night's Cruise and Dinner at the Turn 2 lounge.

We will all meet at the Berbiglia Liqour Store directly across the street from Jay Wolfe Acura at 6pm. We will then caravan (not race) to the Hollywood Casino/Turn 2 Lounge. Once we park in the parking garage, we will go over to the restaurant/lounge for dinner. You can stay afterwards for drinks and the band, which will be playing later that night!
