Woot. Updates are still posted every week or so. I rolled 19,000 this morning. Also got a wild hair and decided to throw one of my 19" Racing Hart C2 wheels on the car just to see what it might look like.

I usually fill up by the time I get to 1/4 tank, so I'm not sure on the max distance per tank. However, after some fill-ups I've seen the "Range" on the display read as high as 470 miles. You've got a great car - love the 07-08 TL-S. Getting to 500k is a matter of care, conservative driving, meticulous maintenance, and an element of luck! No "secrets" - just abiding strictly to a maintenance schedule and taking care of your Acura.

Tyson - I see you have a moon roof visor/spoiler. Where did you get that and what brand is it? I'm looking to get one, as well as a rear window spoiler.

Yes, I did. It's a factory OEM Honda part for the 2012 Civic Sedan.

Part number 08R01-TR0-100. I paid $105.

Haha, thanks! I think I'll use them eventually. Gotta save up some $ for new tires (they're 10 years old) and get different hub-centric rings first.

Right on. Keep me posted on how your Drive to Five goes!

I turned over 20,000 in the ILX this morning. Full story and a video in this blog entry.

Tyson - Would you say the accessories wheels for the ILX are worth the coin (at a discounted rate)?

They look great on the car for 17".

Yeah, definitely! I love the accessory wheels. Sometimes I wish I had 18's, but then I realize that I drive a lot of miles and I don't want to be spending the $ on 18" tires all the time. Just rolled this tonight!

4cruizn.....Personally, I am not a fan of the aftermarket rims....They don't make the ILX look as nice but that is just me. YOur accessory rims from Acura though, now that is sexy!! BTW....is it the picture of do I see a small scuff mark on your passenger front skirt?

No issues at all. 10 oil changes, 2 rock chips in the windshield, 1 recall, 1 replacement of engine & cabin air filters, 1 new set of Michelin tires...

Oh I'm not throwing aftermarket wheels on this car anytime soon. I love the accessory wheels! I just wish they were 18" sometimes. The scuff you're seeing in that picture was an area where the clear bra on the lower lip had been brushed by a rock when I was parking once. I had the clear bra redone there after that picture was taken. Looks good as new now.

Here is the picture of my ILX next to a 2014 RLX a couple weeks ago.

Thanks guys.

As always, lots of pics & drive stories on my blog, Drive to Five.

Haha, nice! I was supposed to be going to the Phoenix Auto Show today but I'm feeling under the weather so staying inside & resting up. Acura Legends are getting more rare by the day - the nice ones, at least. Hard to believe they've been out of production for 19 years.

Thanks Ryan!

Having a blast with it. The ILX now has over 61,000 and it's going in for some maintenance tomorrow. I stopped yesterday at a neat old Arizona mining town.

Tyson....Town looks great!

Just a quick question...with all the traveling you do, I have to ask, in a respectful way...What do you do for a living?

I'll be posting more pics from that town in an upcoming blog post, so stay tuned. The question about my job is a valid one! I work in the pharmacy business for a company called CVS Caremark. Scottsdale AZ is one of our regional headquarters and I'm a project manager there. My travels are purely leisure. All my family lives in Utah so a lot of my mileage accumulation comes from trips there & back. My work commute is a cake walk - 10 miles door to door.

Update 1/27/14: Still rocking and rolling in the ILX. This past weekend, I took it on some twisty canyon roads near Tucson, Arizona with a couple of TL-owning friends.

Blog posts here:

Part 1 - Kitt Peak National Observatory
Part 2 - Madera Canyon

The ILX held its own with the SH-AWD TLs. Also turned over 65k miles.

I don't know how you find so much time to put miles on your car.

I guess part of it is that I split my time between my car, my motorcycle, and my bicycles.
