Hey guys. You may remember me. I have an old 1994 Acura Legend 6-speed coupe with 514,200 miles on it that I've shared on here before. I got a 2013 ILX 6-speed on Tuesday. It's outfitted with some of the OEM accessories.
Complete story about the delivery & background here (tons of pics):

Few pics here too...

Last night at dinner:

Glad to be a member of the ILX fam.

TYSON FTW!
That ILX looks nice, especially with the oem accessories! Makes the car look better imo. Definitely checked out the link you posted. You definitely have to do a write up on how the car drives and what not.

Congrats! The ILX definitely looks sporty with those accessories! I am sure I speak for everyone here as well when I say that I am definitely curious to hear your thoughts on the car after you have owned her for a bit.
Enjoy!

BING BING BING BING!!! The FIRST owner of the ILX to post on Acurazine!! CONGRATS! You car looks amazing and after seeing in person, I must say that I love the ILX too! I can't wait to hear what you think of this vehicle after you have owned it for a while...
LOVE the accessories......

Nice looking car with all those accessories, esp. the wheels!!!
Now, look at the trunk lid - it's so short that it looks like this thing would have been better off as a hatchback!!! It would have been so much more practical that way too.

Of course. I drove conservatively over the break-in period and I use premium fuel and I always take care of my cars. I definitely suspect that this car will last just as long as the Legend.
Yes I do. It hasn't budged an inch since I got the ILX last Tuesday! Enjoying retirement in the garage.

Glad you enjoy!
Yeah I think I made the right choice. I really wanted black but it would be crazy in the AZ heat. I also love the new Fathom Blue. But silver is a safe bet and looks clean even when it's not
.Thanks! The only exterior accessory I didn't get was the body side moldings. I like the look of the clean doors without them.
Thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks!!
Thanks!
Haha, tint soon. No grille, no debadging... just yet.
Thanks!
Working on it! Haha.
I've already got 1,300 miles on the odometer thanks to a weekend trip from Phoenix Arizona to southern Utah and back. Read my blog for the entire story with a TON of pictures and my overall driving experience comments.

Here are a couple of teasers.

For some reason it reminds me of a g25. That being said, I am damn impressed with yours over the pictures and commercials I have seen. Makes me put this car in an entirely different light.
Congrats, and I hope it lasts you many, many many more miles.

Nice write up on your blog. I haven't driven one yet or actually even sat in one yet. I had my ZDX in for service on Friday and was talking to the owner when I brought the loaner back. Their inventory has been slow because of a rail situation up here that slowed all of their deliveries. They had 4 and all sold and one more arrived the day before that had just been prepped. It was Silver with teck pkge. I didn't have time to check it out but would like to wait until they have the 6 mt in to compare them both. They haven't had a 6 mt in yet.
I had the chance to see a Silver Moon ILX at a dealership this weekend and it looks really good in that color. That color really brings out all the nice lines and creases. Design-wise I think Acura got it right this time.
I like the grille in this car. Just needs a drop, but that can be said about virtually any vehicle of the floor. I would like to see this color in person. Does seem to give it more of an upscale look vs. the 2 colors I've seen so far.
Congratualtions on the new ride. The factory spoiler kit definitely does a nice job of improving the sporty look of the car. Please keep us posted on how it drives and holds up over time.
This seems to be the case - very low production of the 6 speed. I think Acura's only banking on selling about 10% of cars with the manual.
Not yet - but I need one. Was quoted $499 to have one done at Acura. Just need to schedule it and get the car in there.
Definitely will do!
Yup, the light illuminated just 50 miles after driving away. I am taking it in this week. Tire pressures are fine. I think it's just an activation issue from installing the new 17" accessory wheels and forgetting to go through the set-up process.

Is there some set up done by the dealership for the TPMS? My ZDX just automatically reads it when I switch from my summer set up to my winter set up.

I do think Acura needs to rethink how they package the manual and how that drives the low percentage of sales. Take yourself as an example, you chose the manual and from reading your blog you are definitely a "Technology" embracer who would want all the features available to you. I bet you would be willing to pay the premium for the Tech package like myself and others that have posted on a different thread.
Any chance you could use your Acura connections and have them revisit this decision? Keep the pictures and posts coming.

Wow that looks great with the OEM accessories. Congrats on being the first.
Looks almost like a mini-TSX. I'm really digging the front end.
TPMS probably needs to be calibrated. I know some of the TPMS systems are self-learning and recognize multiple sets of sensors but the ILX might not be like that.
