UPDATE: More Stuff

Swivel Mount. Old LCD TV mounted that we got in 2008 I think. That's why it's so big. The cable box will be behind the wall in the storage room under the stairs. A remote IR will be used.

Dehumidifier

This weekend. Parents are out of town. School just ended. All paths lead to a house party

I take rent payments in car parts

Thanks everyone! Very pleased with the way it came out. It feels like we just started construction yesterday but it's been 7 months I think

That looks incredible! Congrats on that and thanks for keeping us updated. You going to put a nice couch on the top riser?

^ Thanks! And yup that's the plan. Looking for sofas and other furniture now but we may need to wait a month or two to actually make the purchase.

^ haha I'm not sure anyone would be willing to drive all the way to my house. It is really out of the way for most people outside of Long Island. Eastern Suffolk county.

UPDATE: Some new furniture plus other things

Progress is slow these days. Been just enjoying the basement as it is. Priorities have changed a bit.

New living room sofa

Mirrors mounted in gym area (got them at Ikea, $30 each )

New power reclining couch in theater. I have fallen asleep there multiple times already. And I LOVE the power reclining feature. I'm so lazy

And finally, the new railing was installed.

We decided on the railing only on one side to increase the space so one person can comfortably go up and another can come down without feeling cramped.

Yeah we got a great deal on them. 2250 for the living room set and 750 for the theater couch and center console with two cupholders (not pictured). I believe both are real leather everywhere your body touches, basically everything except the back of the couches.

I had two friends with finished basement party rooms that we would hang out in before and after going out to the bars. It didn't last long though after many nights of us coming in wasted with girls and having wrestling matches and waking their parents up

Luckily by the time it ended my friend's started getting places of their own to hang out at.

I'd like an update. Hopefully a pool table and one of these foldable squat rack stations.
