that's pretty much what i've been doing. just watching what i eat and portions. but there will be some days when i splurge. can't help it. i love korean bbq, pasta, etc.

but it's encouraging that i'm noticing and feeling differences. and it motivates me even more to go through the grueling workouts.

I skipped my workout all together yesterday.
I'll just do cardio x on day 7 of this week and consider yesterday my rest day.

I did yoga the first week, and that's the last time. I hated it. WAY to boring.

For some reason, this has been a terrible week for me as far as my workouts. Kind of.

Chest/Shoulders/Tri on Sunday went really well, as did Back/Biceps on Tuesday. Plyo I couldn't even finish. I didn't workout yesterday, and I really sucked it up on Legs/Back today.

I just haven't been in the mindset I guess.

Hopefully next week will be better.

I might as well pipe in and say I'm a P90x user myself...

I used the program about a year ago and was able to drop roughly 20lbs.... unfortunately traveling a lot for work and not being able to "push play" as Tony puts it, really packed on the pounds.

I've been running 2x's a day, 2 miles in the morning, 2 miles at night and sticking to it for a little under a month now... Monday I plan on getting on the program again and getting back into shape.

I tweaked something in my back around my right shoulder blade while doing standing tricep extensions today. Nothing really bad....but I felt it the rest of the workout for sure.

Didn't do so hot today either. I brought it. But some of the moves, I did worse than last week.

I haven't taken the P90x vitamins myself, but from what I've heard from people who know better than me, apparently you should take them in the morning soon before you eat. From what I understand, it has to do something with it metabolizing the vitamins and it needing to attach to vitamins from actual food sources. Or something to that effect.

I've been taking them. Much more energy at work since I started.

I'm going to try taking 3 at breakfast and then 3 at lunch -- was doing all 6 at breakfast and it got me peeing fluorescent yellow with that great vitamin smell, so I think it's more than I can absorb all at once.

I do recommend them. I never felt much energy lift from the plain ol' multivitamins I bought at Costco. The P90x vitamins are in capsules so you don't ever have to taste the vitamins.

Well, despite trying not to worry about it too much in the beginning, I'm starting to see my plasma having a little bit of retention of the P90x time bar at the bottom.

Everyone said it would be ok since it's a new model (got it December last year...was a new model last year), and I started to believe it would be....but I also remember seeing reviews that it had worse than normal retention....almost getting down to that of early model plasmas. I'm not sure why...I love everything else about it, but this retention thing.

I would play them on my laptop, but for whatever reason, my laptop won't read them. WTF?!

I usually even let the cable run for at least an hour after workouts to try and prevent it. But it seems even that isn't helping.
Looks like I might have to run the 'screen wipe' cycle deal on the tv.

After seeing this thread, I am going to start it. My roommate has it but he's naturally fit so he doesn't use it. I'm headed to buy some dumbbells and a pullup bar tonight. Should be interesting.

I was 155 last July... and then I sprained my ankle and was off the work outs for a month. I managed to ride the Hotter N' Hell Hundred but after that, it was the start of our busy season and had no time. Yeah.. now that I'm back at around 170... time for a change. I'm no where near my original 230lbs. And I'm 5'8".

another person converting!

i would highly recommend pushup bars, resistance bands, and a yoga mat if you don't have them already.

i thought the yoga mat would be unnecessary since i have carpet, but it does help a lot.

I went out and bought 40lbs of dumb bells and a pullup/pushup bar that looks like the P90x brand. As for a yoga mat... I have an equipment mat that I use for my cycling trainer that I will use.

I officially begin tomorrow. 59 days to Vegas.... I would like to get back down to 155 but more importantly, lose the fat.

I'm not THAT sore but I've been sucking down protein in large quantities. Costco sells 6lbs of Whey for $30.

I just realized, you're in Houston.... have you gone to any of the M&Gs?

Say hi to another P90X follower. Just got the package yesterday and plan on starting May 1st. Can't wait to go through this entire thread later tonight to see everyone's results/impressions. Hope to finally get over the hump to a leaner body.
