The only thing I bought was a yoga mat since I walk to my apt. complex's gym for all the resistance/plyo workouts. I need to invest in a heart monitor though.

I'm on the second "week" of Phase 1! Did Chest+Back/Ab Ripper again tonight (I'm moving slowly because a lot of nights I opt to go riding instead of doing this). I'm still pathetic, but I did much better this time than the first time.
I'm also seeing steady gains in my cycling power, so at the least this isn't hurting me there.
Weather's going to be crappy again tomorrow, so bring on Mary Katherine.

One on the right for me
Did a few of those ab exercises - about 8 min worth. Pretty difficult. I do a lot of stomach work at the gym but I take more breaks.

Surprisingly (to myself), mason twists were the first things I could do all 50. I can do all the in and outs...and most of the bicycles. That's it though.
For me, the toughest one is the fifor scissors. I can only do about 3-4 at a time before taking a break. I probably do 10....maybe, the whole set. I can only do my legs at about a 45 degree angle too vs. their 90 degree.

I struggle with the ab moves where I have to keep balanced because I've got long legs that are in shape (lots of muscle mass) and a relatively short upper body that's not. So my legs represent a pretty big load for my abdomen to keep suspended.
I am definitely seeing progress though. The mason twists are still a complete bitch for me.
The good thing about Ab Ripper X is it's over pretty quickly.

Just finished Cardio X in replacement of Yoga X.
Did pretty well through the whole thing until I got to the last 10 minutes or so. On the last exercise (Superman/Banana), I almost felt like revisiting lunch. All is well though.
Sweaty as hell.

I did better on plyo tonight than last. Hot Foot was much easier though still a challenge for me.
Mary Katherine is my bitch (relative to some of the other moves like the skiing jumps). Cycling's good for something.

Good on you guys for using the P90X program to your liking... I'm starting it up again in a couple weeks myself to start off the summer...I did run though the program last year after getting out the USAF and it worked even with one month or fat burning and exercises just to get me back in shape... this go around I intend to really put it on and pump out a 90 in classic style...
I just suggested it to all my coworkers who are all in same boat and wanna get in better shape for the summer...

Im still doing P90x but i am having to substitute the any thing that has to do with legs right now. My "runners knee" is bothering me. I dont want to stop the routine but im worried i have no choice till it gets better. Im mad because i was starting to see results with a lot of the moves where i was getting better (especially ab ripper, where im like svtmike, long heavy legs that the abs have to really work at holding up)

Yoga X last night for the second time. Most likely still laughable if videotaped, but definitely did better than the first time. Legs & Back tonight between conference calls.

Damn.
Just finished Cardio X. Even though I'm not in the second stage yet, I decided to go ahead and start up on doubles so this was my second workout along with Chest & Back that I did this morning. Tired. In a good way.

Tomorrow is supposed to be Kenpo, but I have a suspicion that my bike will be calling my name.

I'm not following the diet to T myself as far as the meals or exact portions, but for the most part, I'm eating all the right foods, trying to eat 4-5 times a day...so far it's going pretty well, but days like today when I'm at school for 6 hours without a break, it makes it hard. I think I can vaguely start to see some changes, but I'm not very far in at all so I'm still optimistic.

I look at my numbers week over week and I've made strides in every exercise. Weight-wise and appearance-wise no change but I'm only on my second "week" of Phase I.

Holy mother of shit!
I'm starting week 3 on Monday. I started the first two weeks in March as kind of a 'warmup'...went on the cruise for a week, and then actually started counting the 13 weeks when I got back (so I've done about 4 weeks of P90x, but didn't count the first 2).
I just weighed myself for the first time since I was at LA Fitness last (probably sometime the week before I started P90x on March 1st).
I'm down about 12 pounds.
I'm shocked to be honest. I mean...I think I am vaguely starting to notice my stomach slimming out a little...and I'm getting closer to showing muscle definition...but I wasn't expecting 12 pounds.

Please please please tell me you took "before" pics.
When I look at my "before" pics, I am amazed.

You can always ask for a grilled chicken breast (mustard or BBQ sauce on the side), side of steamed veggies and then you are good to go!

I'm glad I did now.
I decided I'm not going to compare them though until I'm completely done with the program so I can go .
Second set of pictures coming in about 2 weeks or so.

Started "Week 3" tonight after 5 days off (but I biked every one of those days for a minimum of 90 minutes). I'm making rapid strides in the number of reps I can do, though of course I am still pathetic compared to the people in the videos.
