I love switchblades.

 

Got my battery replaced a few days ago. FINALLY I can unlock/lock via remote again. Feels so gooooooooooooood

 

it actually boggles my mind that people don't do this. i can't tell you the number of customers that just don't replace the battery in their remote and use the key.

 

Mine died for 2 weeks and it was the most annoying thing ever lol.
I didn't mind but it began becoming an inconvenience. It's easy to replace so it really is mind boggling why people wouldn't do it.

 

On some fobs it's a PITA. My Honda key was easy since they used a screw for the cover like normal human beings.

 

For the switchblade, it's also one screw =)

For the 04-06 keyfob, no screws lol

 

especially when they use thread-lock on the screw

Just got my front motor mount replaced.
Went home to flip the bracket around since it was facing the wrong way, and then the hood fell on my back.

I need new hood struts...

My back is sore and I don't know if it's from my workout or the hood latch hitting my back lol

 

ouch!

 

Damn, did the hood just collapse with no warning? I thought with shocks it would slowly go down on you (hehehe)


I'm torn deciding on a new car. EP3 or NA Miata?

 

When you looking down in the engine there is no warning lol
It does creep slowly at first usually but about half way gravity takes over and the shocks are useless.

 

^ Have the same problem w my hood.

It just decided to drop one day lol.

 

I guess it's safe to say all of ours lasted about 8 years. everyone's seems to b failing lately, well the 04-06 models anyway

 

The miata would be sweet, but would you drive that all year?

 

get a carbon fiber hood, that'll fix it. hehe

 

Mine wouldn't stay up in the cold.....my hood strut that is.....the one on my Acura.

So went to a touch less car wash, and when the car got to the dryer part it knocked the side passenger mirror off( just the glass). The mirror was hanging on with the wires. I pushed it back on but now on the highway it shakes like crazy. Do you guys think crazy glue would work?

 

Make sure that it's installed in properly

 

Take off your whole side mirror, inspect things, and do the puddle light DIY while you're at it

how legal are these in ontario? I'm not sure if red tails are required, is it enough for cops to pull me over?

 

Technically you are required to have some red, but I wouldn't worry much about cops pulling you over for them.

Just carry a strip of red tint in your trunk in case someone decides to bother you lol

JayBabak here in ottawa has them too.
He even has white LED rear turn signals lol

 

legally your supposed to have some sort of red reflector on the rear of your car,

 

I've had those tails in for a couple months and haven't been hassled once. Been in front of plenty of cops

I wouldn't worry too much about cops around here. I've been driving with a low-beam out for the past two weeks, directly past numerous cops and they haven't done a damn thing. Almost disappointed, really.

Absolutely! I have the Passat to use if I don't use my car for whatever reason. But top down for the summer, and RWD for the winter...

Damn, this weather is really making me itch to get back into my own car.
