I think you should leave him alone for a while. Like you said previously, his answers seem very distant, ambiguous, etc..let him know what you want, and just say, if you don't want that, well see ya!

You're right, he was really ambiguous. There's no chance he's getting me back. None. And hearing a bit of affirmation on that makes me even more set in my ways of staying without him.
