What's for Dinner?

A lovely 3 grain pasta sauteed in water with a combination (homemade) of herbs and spices thats been in the family for years. I then carefully strained the water away from the pasta taking care to leave a little moisture for the spices. I then cooked some fresh vegetables that I had been seasoning for the last 3 months that were absolutely orgasmic ...aka...

In Peru, just ate turkey stuffed with ground beef, sausage and hot dog. Also Panettone with chocolate drink. Dinner starts at midnight; 1 am in our case, after opening presents.

Yeah I was going to do the traditional style Christmas Dinner with Ham, turkey, stuffing, yams, cranberry etc... But I just didnt have the time to prep all that the day before so I decided to cook my mothers favorite seafood dish. My grandmother is 91 years old, she finished everything on her plate and had seconds
I will post the prawn recipe in the morning im barely awake. Ive had a long day.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I just had the traditional Puerto Rican holiday meal...
"Arroz con gandules" - Rice with pigeon peas
"Pasteles" - A tamale-like thing made with mashed plantains, filled with various things like pork or chicken, red peppers, oilives, etc.
"Lechón" - pork, an entire pig cooked rotisserie style over fire
"Morcillas" - a.k.a. blood sausage. It's the intestines of the pig stuffed with pig blood, rice and seasonings. Trust me they're good!
The thing is I've eaten essentially the same thing at three different houses already!

Christmas Eve dinner = PB&J sandwich
Christmas dinner, I'm making: Sweet potato casserole, spinach madeline, a ham, an apple pie, and a chocolate fudge cake; my mother is making a mirliton and shrimp casserole; I'm not sure what my boyfriend's mom and stepmom made... but I've been cooking since yesterday.

I normally would have, but the weather made driving difficult and I forewent alcohol this time. I hadn't had veal in a while, and I dislike eating chicken at restaurants (you can have chicken anywhere). I had steak-and-potatos the night before, so wanted something different.
My Italian uncle gives the place 5-stars. It's VERY good Italian.
If anyone is in the Detroit area for the Superbowl, they have several different locations, all with different décor. I think the menus may vary as well.
