do you have a core unit or premium?

premiums come with component cables which ull need to get hdtv

To add to that...There is a switch on the component cables that come with the premium...for HD.

And to add to that...make sure you go in to the dashboard settings and adjust the video output to 720.

Lol.. there were some cases were its the CD drive reading the disk. Mine was lout, standing up. I laid it down and now its silenced.

also, make sure that you are using ALL RCA connections. Like the blue and green ones.. i think you need to use almost ALL of the connectors for your tv to recognize its HD, you cannot leave only the red, yellow, and white.

I want to mention a technicality we had with Top Spin 2.

So my friend brings it over, we are all psyched to play, etc. etc. We setup 4P, it gets to the loading screen, and is stuck there. We try 3 more times, it just keeps getting stuck at the loading screen. We are like WTF. So close to playing, yet so far.

My friend had been playing this at his house, he brings it over here, with his Xbox 360, and it doesn't work. We look at the disc, and there is this insanely huge scratch on it, that looks like it was physically damaged by something in the drive. That is, it followed the circle of the cd.

So me and another friend went on a hunt for Top Spin 2 - finally found it and bought a new one - brought it back and all was well. But still its a mystery what happened to that original disc...

That scratch is usually caused when sombody moves the xbox while the disk is spinning.

Otherwise, i guess your 360 is doing it all the time, which would suck.

kinda an easy way to ruin discs. you'd think that they would've designed the drive better.

It is cool to show off how the player indicator lights move with the position of the unit... just take your disc out first
this is exactly what my friend was doing.

yeah - it is alarming that such damage can occur so quickly and easily - a well-designed CD drive would never allow for the chance of any physical part of the drive making direct contact with the disc, imo.

but also, it makes common sense that you do not move the unit while a disc is inside. :troutslap

Did you try setting it(360) at 1080i?
I did a search, and it say that the kp-65wv700 is capable of displaying 720p, but is converted to 1080i.

Some games are only 480. Thats why there's all this talk about the x360 not really being true HD like the 1080p ps3

Odd statement.

HD is HD

be it 1280x720 or 1920x1080. They are just different formats.

Thats because Panasonic has been kicking Sony ass in the HD world...and doing so with only 720p

Far as I'm concerned at this stage in the game...any that Sony says is full of shit. I hate their marketing, and I hate what they've become...Only good thing they make now is TV's...and thats only if it says XBR on it.

-With your XBOX360, my friend had the same problem. He has a SONY 42inch plasma, I don't recall the model number but there is a setting for picture and brightness that you have to adjust. Basically the TV limits the display capability of the TV, look in your manual and it will guide you through the menu.

1080p as true HD, recently on CNET there are only 2 TV's that can actually support the TRUE HD format in terms of the HDMI connection inputs each TV has, the other TV's that claim to be 1080p capable aren't fully capable of displaying it, it either makes it 1080i or uses processing to convert it.

I agree completely. It was like when they said PS2 would go online, that didn't come out (not to mention it was unsuccessful) till the last 3rd cycle of life for the PS2. Although I must admit their PSP online system for SOCOM is great.
