and also all the tracks and cars that've been loaded onto your HDD. The first time I deleted it was over 5GB. I'll have reload all that info from the disc again, oh well

Does this still work? I'd like to try it but I'm afraid they're going to fuck over the people who did this...

They'd have to delete your save game, or worst case ban your account.

So I did it, I made sure to NOT select the M4 I just bought and relaunched the game. I go to my garage and then I realized that, like a dumbass, I already had selected the free M4 I got from the online event.
And then I had to re-input the code from my 15th anniversary pack because none of the cars worked. And no one warned me that this forces you to redo a 1.5GB download.

BTW, I don't know if this has been mentioned in the thread yet or not but the '14 BMW M4 is actually the best car to take back to V1.0 to sell. It only costs 120,000 credits in V1.01. You can take like 50 of them back, sell them off one at a time for 20M credits and use the money each time to buy a '68 Ford GT40 Race Car. Each of those GT40's sells for 6M credits in V1.01. Buy up all of the really expensive cars you have and then keep a stockpile of GT40's to be used later in the game. I know it seems like overkill but you need to be thinking about the insanely expensive vehicle chassis maintenance that is required on these cars in the future.

When you repatch the game it doesn't recognize the 15th anniversary cars. You just download them again and all is fine. This glitch is quick and simple with a huge payoff. The cars that I currently own would take years of grinding races at the game's current payout levels to obtain, not to mention the 350M credits that I have between my bank account and stockpile of GT40's.
have about 20 GT40s in my garage and 20 million in the bank.

I don't know guys I'm a little concerned that they will punish us for this... This destroys their credit selling scheme.

So here's my guess: they will pull the DLC cars soon and replace them with something that doesn't cause a bug in version 1.0. Time to load up on 20,000,000 cars, I bought all the RedBulls and some Ferraris, I'll have to get the GT40 and Jag still. Any other good ones?

The only real long term patches I can think of is to recall all the discs on store shelves with V1 on it and make a disc that comes with 1.01 on it. Or some how force users to install 1.01.
This should teach game companies a lesson in not shipping incomplete games and requiring a patch when you play the game for the first time that adds all the promised features.
They used to spend more time fixing bugs because they couldn't fix it afterwards but now that they have the ability to update it after that fact, they just release buggy and incomplete games and fix it a few months later.

It's because 1.0 didn't include the m4, so I guess it doesn't know what it is.
And probably 330 million is the max value the programmers put for the cars.
That unsexy Mercedes is only 1 million to buy, sells for 330 thousand in 1.01 and 330 million in 1.0.

In 1.0 the Mercedes is changed to some random identifier number 2055.. And the m4 is some random number too.

It is estimated you would need 1.2 billion credits to buy every car in the game. Obviously, most people probably don't want to own every car, (I was close on GT5), but that also does not include money for tuning and maintaining your cars. I haven't spent any more money since acquiring most of the really high-end cars in the game. I don't really plan on trying to buy all of the cars in the game. I am going to make sure that I have "future proofed" my GT6 account in case PD does not increase the payouts or decrease the maintenance costs in the future. At 1/2 a million credits to recondition an LMP car every 350 race miles, 20 million credits will only last you so long. I already bought a $60 game. I'm perfectly okay with buying additional DLC add-ons in the future. I am NOT okay with letting Sony and PD having a firm grip on my wallet, making me pay real money through microtransactions to keep my virtual cars afloat in GT6.

Nice. I haven't done the moon challenge yet. It looks like fun. I wish Acura was better represented in the GT series. The 3G TL would be a great car to have in the game. I'd also love to see the RL/Legend but that would be a bit of a stretch I think.
