^^^Agreed, this is the game that will make me plunk down my cash on a PS3. I got forza 2, but i've always been a GT fan.

But, as of right now, the ETA is still 2008...so, next year should be a good year for PS3 owners.

 

Based upon the graphics of this game, I think the PS3 might be under the tree next year ... when I buy a 1080p HDTV. Guess they would go hand in hand ... and then the process of converting the digital movie library to blu-ray would begin ... (I would hesitantly use the PS3 as a blu-ray player ... something I usually never do ... ie use a game machine to watch movies)

In the interim, I'll just sit back wait for which medium will prevail.

 

the PS3 is one of the best Blu-Ray player on the market, only downside is it is a little loud

 

is GT5 prologue coming out for the US? or should i just buy an imported version?

I bought my PS3 for two games: GT5 and Metal Gear Solid 4

 

yes, all games are region free

and I've done it before too, my friend gave me his imported Japanese version of Ridge Racer 7 and it worked fine, the menu system was in English as well.

Same here, except I haven't bought it yet. Hoping for a special Gran Turismo edition of PS3 like the PS2 had.

 

I have searched countless department stores' video game sections (i.e. Carrefour, Sogo, Shin Gong Mitsukoshi) in Taipei and Kaohsiung and it is sold out everywhere...!


Whoever says the PS3 doesn't sell is a nimrod. Otherwise, Sony only released one copy per store.

im gonna be paying out the ass for this game.
ps3, g25 steering wheel, hopefully gt5 will have a multiscreen setup. and ofcourse a sweet rig to put it all in.

 

i so want the g25 wheel as well, but id need the space to actually set it up properly.

That list of cars are for the "Prologue". A short sample of what the final game will be like.

I don't think anybody really knows how many cars will be in the game.

 

THey said more cars in the final version than in GT4
