Your are both wrong. The trigger is how god intended gamepad's to be used. (unfortunately god only designed the xbox360 triggers).

Ok here's a tip for you west coasters. Once you reach level 1 (you'll know when you do) exit out of spec a or spec b and you'll unlock the go kart racing. Then go to special events and do the go karts. you get 1000xp points (which is a lot when first starting out) and 12,000cr for each win. It's really easy way to jump up two or three levels make a bunch of Cr in just two races.

Awesome game...The go-karts are SPOT on... It could have been Gran Kart Turismo and I would've been happy 
Yes, the shawdows are blocky and weird, but looking past that it really is an excellent game that I could spend days playing... That Top Gear challenge with the VW Bus is damn tough... Not from a difficulty stand point, it's just annoying to have to drive so slow around the Top Gear track

ok, I did get 12k credits. it says 1st is 5k, but then when you win (easy as cake, btw, I mean I was ahead of 2nd by like 9 sec) it gives you the credits for 1st 2nd and 3rd (12k) for some reason. sweet!

go-karts are very fun, racing again. building up some $$$$ to get a good car.
I tried online, worked well. I have a 1988 Silvia K with 172hp, I was up against a modded R35 GT-R, Zonda Carbon R, and some other cars like that. I got smoked lol. I was not last though, there was a 1st-gen Miata behind me lol.

It's nice until you try to get gold on it. The first part went down not too bad, but I must have tried the 2nd part 50 times before giving up and accepting silver
Also, apparently there's a hidden fee for wrecking your cars. The restore body rigidity option at GT Auto gets reeeeeeal costly if you get in a few wrecks. IDK how long you can go hitting stuff before the car drives differently, but fixing it can get expensive. Apparently some guy with a Veyron racked up a bill of 500,000 credits

^^^ got gold on the 1st one after about 4 tries, the 2nd one is tougher but I'll be able to get a gold there too with some practice. good challenge! the old SL is a pleasure to drive.

I'd have to disagree. The PS3 controller is very much like a R/C controller (forgot if the axis are the same) so I would say it is OK. And the 360's is like a pistol-grip controller, I suppose.

here is a tip - when you are doing the License tests, hit the Circle button after done with a test, and it'll take the cursor all the way over to the right - and then you just go one over to the left to get to Next Course. Sure beats tapping all the way over from the left.

Setup the G25 tonight and played for about 3 hours. Its fun, but there are a few things I dont like so far. All shall be forgiven once the 03 CL is available though

been playing like crazy, mainly because im golding everything ruight off the bat. makes for some tedious races and multiple retries.
anyone jump in the top gear special event stuff? how effing frustrating are the first 2 races? first vw vands that only go 64mph and then they put you in a lotus with hard compound tires so its like you are on ice. pain in the rear
