Just got it and am installing. I used to only drift in GT4 with the driving force pro wheel. Looks like I'll have to earn my in game cash instead of using game shark though 
.

Errr GT5 Sooo many cars but you can't upgrade brakes.. I am sad.. Also can't swap rims.
108 bucks for collector edition + 6 years in the making. Damn someone over hyped it.
Besides that, actually game play is swt. Driving soo real. I love it. Overall not bad.

You can change rims. But the selection is smaller.

The license test where you're doing the double hairpins at Indy was giving me so much trouble. I had it to within .021 of the time I needed for gold but just couldn't figure out how to pick up any speed. Then one run I somehow beat the time by .300 and was like WTF!???
and IC-10 was hard but fun. I really like driving that bb512 with the wheel

oh gay.. in the photo mode, since my wheel doesn't have analogs, i can't really rotate cameras...
(at least, i couldn't figure out what would move the cameras)

i noticed you get different amount of money for each of cups.. (ie bronze, silver, gold)
so i should really go for bronze in the beginning, then silver is likely to happen more than a lot of times, and finally gold to get the most money out of each challenges/licneses

Ok. I've made up my mind. My next purchase will be a PS3, G27 (maybe G25), and GT5. No need for an HDTV cause I will use my Asus 24" monitor because the wheel will attach perfectly to my computer desk.

I think the Nurburgring is unlocked at the AMG intermediate challenge. You can drive it in the beginner challenge, first in each section, then the whole track (with a fair amount of traffic).
Other than the connection issues, disappointing AI and over-sensitive penalties in the special events, I'm impressed. Once you get away from the AI cars, the game is spectacular. Still, I'd trade 500 cars for good AI.
I haven't tried online. Well, actually I did try a bit ago but it never connected.

I've done a little research and I don't think tire pressure can be changed. That is a fairly big let down for me. On the other hand
This may be my favorite car in a game to date. I do have some issues with how much you can modify them though. Not to mention how much it costs. I think I have a total 50- 70k credits in the engine, and that nets me 190hp. So the price of two to 3 brand new entry level cars = 1 hopped up vw engine? Then there are the brakes mentioned before. This bus goes over twice it's original speed but somehow I did the entire ring with 4 drum brakes... ok. The thing is, just as I'm getting frustrated with it's status at a sim I buy a kubelwagon and I feel a little bit better.

So does a mustang sound like a mustang and does a wrx sound like a wrx in the game. Or is the engine audio still wrong?
