True. However, there is a much greater emphasis upon realism in the tuning of the cars

I've been a TNSF fan since PS1 came out with the first one... so i'm def. looking forward to this... The new AI and the damage is awsome... how the type of vehicle you choose will effect your driving is going to be tight... trying to master every vehicle type is going to be challenging... so def. a plus...

Can we say PS3 and Xbox 360 live Doubt it'll be out for the PS2 guess its going to have to be time to upgrade and get the PS3

I have always enjoyed NFS games and don't have any for the Xbox 360 yet so odds are I will pick it up after this semester...

Can't they bring back the old-school NFS? With the exotics?

Buy Forza2 for exotics, NFS is all about imports and drifting and chicks with short skirts and big tits waiving a flag.

Just some Trivia... NFS wasn't always about that all the time...

TNFS (on the PS1) was actually made up of Exotic Imports like the Lamborghini, Farrari, and some domestic supercars like the Corvette and Viper... the whole emphasis of the game was the Speed... I remember playing TNFS when it came out and it did give you that sense of feeling that you were hauling down the road at 208 mph in the Diablo... Seeing NFS:PS give me that same feeling, so I'm def. going to buy it... But first i need a PS3

NSF changed right before the big Fast and the Furious movie with Need For Speed Underground for PS2... NFS: Hot Pursuite 2 has the exotics in it still and I play that once in a while just to get it out of my system from playing with all the ...

Forza2 for exotics... or just grab yourself an old copy of NFS:HP2

See, I grew up playing all the old-school NFS games, from TNFS onwards to Hot Pursuit 2. NFSII is still one of my favorite games ever. I tried NFS:underground, but the import/tuning thing is not what I'm looking for in an NFS game. I'd rather play Gran Turismo for that.

Unfortunately, it seems that EA has decided the import/tuning market is what it wants to go after with the NFS series, so people like me are shit out of luck.
As for Forza, don't have an xbox, so will have to see what comes out for the PS3 in the future.

I played the demo for a while and I enjoy the game, but what I'm excited about is the customizable options/tuning options just like in every other NFS (the recent underground, most wanted, etc) games.

I can live without the damage model -- the ability to crash through roadblocks and run people off the road with impunity are some of the things I like best about NSFMW and its ilk.

Plenty of other racing products are already out there with a damage model.

I have it for PS3 and it's decent. Concept is cool enough, but the announcer dude is a fucking toolbox. I'd give it a 6.5/10. It's fun, but with all of the other games out there now and in the near future you have many better ways to spend your cash.

Why is everyone recommending Forza for exotics? For my money, nothing out there right now beats PGR4 for exotics (both cars & bikes).

This might change once GT5 comes out (and I finally get to use my PS3 for something). But for now, PGR4 > all other racing games out there, period.

Its not bad of a game but the engine sounds are retarded its the same sound every gear even 5th.

the graphics will kick your ass if your using a 7800gt i had to upgrade a 7900gtx for nwo till 10direct cards are out.

No, I think TDU is by far the best for exotics and sport bikes, the exhaust on the Lambo Murc. is awesome. The only crappy part, and I mean crappy part is that they shut down the servers, but that game was fun and you got a real sense of speed in that game.

Yeah all the newer NFS games with the underground street races theme have absolutely no driving realism, they are mainly arcade style racing games, but they can be fun. I liked NFSMW, it was pretty cool to roll through the story actually and the exhaust sounds were pretty good.
