Long course, but not as long, and not as many turns.

One more thing about the endurance races...
You cannot enter the endurance hall before you reached the 25% complete mark. I am now sitting at 20% and I have won 115 races already. ONE FUCKIN' HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN RACES, are you kidding me PD/Sony this is one huge game!!
ok enough of BS, I am going back to the game now.

Once you get out of console games and into sims on the PC, the software you buy on the shelf can be viewed as nothing more than an engine for 3rd party mods. For F1 Challenge 99-02 I have an Australian V8 Supercar mod, an ETCC mod, early 90's IMSA mod, early 90's Group C mod, and a 2004 F1 season update mod that's better than the original game. Not to mention the two dozen or so add-on tracks I've accumulated.

.. for F1 2002 I have BMW M3-GTR mod, JGTC, SportsCar Racing (600 & 900 LMP, R8, etc), British Racing, IMSA, Alfa Challenge (little hatchbacks, quite funny to race), and 360 Challenge...the other great thing about this series is how easy it is to mod cars.. you can change drive configuration, gear ratios, number of gears, give them better braking power, more horsepower, raise the redline, all very easily. There are some limitations and quirks but generally speaking its easy to do. It's just a TXT file that you change numbers in. I think I setup an F1 car with like 2900hp, AWD and 24000 rpm redline... it was kinda fast.
I know you can do hybrids with GT3 etc. but its not as straightforward... in fact, I've never done it before.
Have any of you tried em?And an entirely added dimension of of PC racing is that you can create custom skins for your cars, using your favorite paint program...

ok enough rambling for now.
who said this was a pw thread.... shame on u
. just look at all this detailed infos.

i have the japanese version of gt4 and the graphix ARENT as good as the screenshots. sometimes it actually skips frames because of buffer.
on the other hand, the physics of the gameplay is amazing, i actually they incorperated a lot more suspension related physics in there compared to gt3. the fastest car have now is the Option 350Z with 770hp, its horrible tho because the turbo doesnt spool up until like4-5k and anything before that is just slow.
enjoy the waiting suckers,
Cliff
