The maps are cool, but 15 is a little high for what you get. I bought it anyway though.

I really hate that you are forced to play game modes you may not want to play in order to use the new maps. One new mode is like Mosh Pit where it cycles through multiple game modes on the 4 new maps. The only modes I play are FFA, TDM, and sometimes Domination I don't really like the others.

The other new game mode is Hardcore only, and I don't play that mode either.

Also wanted to add that experience points are doubled now, so this is a good time if you want to rack up on some XP (Stimulus package not req. for double XP)

Am I wrong to assume that they didn't leave the game open to updates? What makes it so hard to be able to add a few titles/icons or even perks? I mean I get the perks, because it would be fundamental to the game engine, but Titles/Icons are simply achievement based. I dont get it. $15 is a rip off, but of course I still bought it...

You only have to play the new mode for double xp. The maps should be available on all the game modes. At least that's how it was on the 360.

The new mode cycles only the new maps.

I still haven't heard why we didn't get the perks we were promised with the Stimulus package. Anybody know why they weren't included?

The ones I remember were, overkill, faster weapon switching, and the ability to toggle thermal. I think there was one other?

I was getting Double XP yesterday before I DL'd the map pack so I think it applies to all game modes.

I hope you're right about the new maps being available in all game modes, I don't want to have to play Headquarters, SnD, and Sabotage (Personally I hate those modes) just to use the new maps.

Was it like that from launch day? I was playing TD and Domination all night getting double xp, but no new maps. Not a big fan of search and destroy or capture the flag. But it looks like we're (ps3) stuck playing mosh pit if we want to play the new maps.

On 360 they had two new modes: Stimulus and Hardcore Stimulus. Both modes gave double xp and they both played every game mode on only the new maps. This lasted for around a week...maybe more.

I mostly played the stimulus, but switched to the regular game modes once in while when I was sick of playing only the new maps. When I went the regular modes the new maps were there, but they didn't pop up very often. Now it seems like the new maps pop up all the time.

I never played CTF before the new maps, and now I rather enjoy it. The games last a while and you can get a lot of kills. Same with Sabotage too, but sometimes the 8 second wait before respawn is quite aggravating.

We've had mosh pit on 360 since day one.

I like salvage, and the new house type lvl. fast paced action. I don't like the fact that there is no way to choose the game type. Its always Dom, CTF, or HQ.

I like the new maps too, Bailout is my favorite. I think they'll eventually be mixed into regular modes.

That shit better be free if you bought the first map pack. In retrospect I hardly play MW2 anymore, but the new maps were fun. If they're going to charge even another $10 for the map pack, Activision can go shove those maps up their collective asses.

$20 says most if not all of these new maps were already on deck and ready to be sold along with the stimulus maps.

$20 says the maps were done before the full game came out last november. Activision has been greedy as hell, which is why the pc version has no dedi servers.

well I got the maps last night. I like Bailout and Crash. I don't remember which one but one of them plays like Rust. That could be good or bad. Overall. I don't feel it's worth the 14.99. In a world where apps and other things go for $0.99, these maps should either have been free, or something like $4.99 or so.
