so, I didn't know when you go choose what games you wanna play (Hardcore TD, Headquarters, S&D etc etc...), you have to choose "Stimulus". So, I kept playing Hardcore Team Deathmatch, and they never came up... then someone told me... but I was getting ready to call it a night... so I just quit. I DID go through a couple of the new maps by myself just to be familiar with them... but didn't play any matches.

Bailout is a small map and Salvage is kinda big with lots of camping spots. I didn't try the 3rd new one (2 of the 5 are old maps from COD4 -Overgrown/Crash)

ha, thanks for the info, I never played COD4 online so they will be new to me but my brother did and told me about them so Ill see how it goes and the glitch is gone from what i was told, is this true?

Well, I like them, but can't wait for them to be in the normal play lists. I hate every game mode but kill everybody mode, so game after game of SD, CTF, and all the rest kinda kills it a bit, but still a lot of fun.

I had a very nice game last night, it was my first game after working 8 hrs and it was 12:30a.m. so I figuired I'd suck, but i completely owned. 25-3.

got harrier, precision airstrike, than an emergency airdrop with a B2, pavelow, and a sentry gun. Unfreakinbelievable. Love when that happens.

Started running around with a UMP45 now, like that gun with rapid fire and red dot.

and yes we should I'm xTIMExLORDx hit me up.

I like the UMP w/ holo sight and marathon and lightweight pro. I recently unlocked the tactical knife for the .45 hand gun and use that with the UMP. Fun stuff.

It was quite a bitch to get 75 kills w/ the .45. I know why people use the .44 magnum to get the tactical knife.

I can't use the hand guns for my life, I can stab stab, but I just freak out trying to shoot off the hip or at close range. Wish I could just have the knife without having to be good with a hand gun. I still exclusively use the stinger as my secondary. I'm now very quick at shooting down pave lows, which is not easy

It takes about 3 shots with the 45 and it's hard because the accuracy is garbage. The 44 takes less shots to kill and I think you only need 50 kills to unlock the tactical knife.

The tactical knife attachment is worth the effort. It's quite fun stabbing with that.

Perhaps I will try the 44, I love it in real life. Wonder if stopping power makes any noticable difference, though I usually use hardliner, bling and martyrdom

Damn, for whatever reason I keep having connection issues. Play for awhile, then says it has trouble connecting to Activision servers, then logs me out of PS3 network and I can't resign in. Reboot the machine and it signs right back in. Annoying.

Hopefully my PS3 is not on the way out.

its all about teamwork and tactics! i cant imagine only playing FFA.. i would go nuts!

then again i play with the same 3 or 4 friends everytime i play so i know what to expect.. strangers on my team may put a damper on team based games ...

playing with people you know in FFA with knifes only is fun as hell... (I know I said that before already, but just thought I'd bring it up again).

I think in some of my earliest montages I ran around with a USP or an M9 as my secondary... I used to be pretty damn good at it even in regularcore. And I was beastin in hardcore in COD4 with a silenced M9, I got the most hate mail by far that way

People always comment on how I hold the controller.... for 360 at least, the way I hold it if I want to run around with a pistol is I hold the controller with my index finger resting over the buttons... for the index finger I use the side of my finger behind my first joint to press B for crouching/occasional dropshots (weak, I know) and the side of the 2nd joint/pad to press X and Y, and my thumb comes over to occasionally press A. My left hand is normal, index finger on LT

My friends say it looks really weird but it works to the point where some of them they try and copy me now

maybe I should do a pistol montage I think I suck now though. Haven't played in too long.... but I'll give it a try

I just had one worse, I joined a game that literally just finished, when the map was about to load, it went back out to the lobby with a fresh intermission timer

Got my pistol skills back, if anything. just got a pretty cool killcam.... on Estate, going out the front door there's a stone wall in between the big house and the boathouse.... I crept up to it from the left side, went prone and hid there behind the wall. Heard a guy coming, so I threw my C4 over the low wall, blew him up, then on the other, far side of the wall there was a sniper looking up at the balcony... too easy. Pistoled him in quick fashion right after blowing up the C4. The guy that got C4'd was laughing

Now I have to decide if I should get the map pack...

The maps are ok, but not really worth the price without the extra perks we were promised. Not sure why the perks were not included. Maybe they are waiting for the maps to get all systems.

nice, that was pure ownage. Mostly because of that lucky semtex though. It gave him a harrier without needing to see/shoot anyone, and that harrier did the same to get him the CG, and so on.

generally why I never set my nuke on anyway, I probably could have had the titles a long time ago but still don't because I end up camping and boring the shit out of myself

More bad news for the franchise:

Is Activision undergoing a brain drain? After the Santa Monica publisher fired the heads of its Infinity Ward studio, which makes the Call of Duty franchise, two other longtime developers have departed.

The news, first reported on the video game news site Kotaku, has been confirmed by the sources close to the developers.

The two developers in question are Todd Alderman, who was Infinity Ward's lead game designer, and Francesco Gigliotti, its lead software engineer.

Kotaku referenced the pair's LinkedIn profiles, which list their work at Infinity Ward under "past employment." According to their LinkedIn resumes, Gigliotti had been at Infinity Ward from September 2002 to April 2010, while Alderman's tenure extended from April 2002 to April 2010. Whether they resigned or were fired is unclear. Calls to Actvision were not immediately returned.

Their exits follow the dismissal of the studio heads, Jason West and Vince Zampella, on March 1. The two sued Activision three days later, for $36 million, claiming breach of contract and wrongful termination. The question is: Have Alderman and Gigliotti joined West and Zampella as brothers in arms?

Only played a few games last night, but got one pretty interesting game. Did terrible for the first half, then got in the groove. I'll try and put together a montage one of these days, just keep forgetting.

I can't understand how you shoot that fast with a semi auto. And, yes, I saw your explanation.

On a different note.....

one thing I despise about this game is how your peripheral vision is non-existent (like when you walked right past the guy in one room). It happens all the time that I get killed by somebody right next to me like after they jumped off a building or just happened to spawn and start running right next to me.

on mw1 and most pc games, you could change you field of view to be much higher, giving you better peripheral vision. but, game developers are getting gay with kids now and fixing games to be the same as on consoles

I think I'll download the map pack. I was just worried since I don't play as much as I used to.... but then again when I first got the game me and some of my friends didn't actually see each other for a couple of weeks

Heh.... if only I could shoot *any* 9mm in real life that accurately, or even that fast. I know I explained it a bit, but what also helps is instead of using the pad of your finger on the trigger, I use the first joint of my middle finger to pull - the effect is like having a short shifter. You need to put a little more trigger effort, but its a lot faster. At first you won't be able to aim for shit this way, but with enough practice you can pop off enough shots, just accurately enough that if you're indoors it won't really matter

But, when I snipe or use any full auto weapon I use my pad of my finger.

and yeah I occasionally walk right by people. I have an old 4:3 CRT TV and sometimes I'll miss stuff just to the left or right of me. then again it might be me, I tend to walk right past people that stay still while prone I've walked right past someone on the stairs a few times before too
