360, PS3, PC: Call of Duty - Black Ops
I don't get those videos. there are so many times where he'll walk in and an enemy is just kind of sitting there, not reacting, and he kills em like a second later. this NEVER HAPPENS when I play. pretty much all of the time, I barely get to even see the enemy and if I don't fire (and hit), I'm killed. many times I'm killed before I can even get my weapon aimed. is this a difference in play dynamics between FFA and the team modes?
(I watched the entire video, btw)

So if you're a noob and not look at your radar you might confuse an enemy for a teammate?
That video is decent game play, but do you guys ever notice that all these high kill games are always filled with new players? If you watch, you can see that more than half the other team didn't even reach first prestige. That guy playing is 14th lvl 50 and probably could be 15th lvl 50 but probably just doesn't want to go that high. He just got placed into a lobby with a bunch of new players. I would also give more credit to the guy if he didn't use chopper/dogs. All the high k/d ratio people (3.0+) you see, ALWAYS use chopper/dogs. I'm 15th lvl 50 and have a 3.5+ k/d and only use napalm/helicopter/b-52. If this guy played in a lobby with even just average players, that chopper would have been taken down so fast which is why I never use it.
^^^ thank you, you said it better than I did. it's like this guy wasnt even challenged.. youre right on the chopper too - of course, I would never say its easy to go 101-1, regardless of skill levels..
There's quite a few of these vids out.. people going 100+ kills.. but for the most part it's an objective game.. there's also assholes who spawn camp.
It takes skill regardless if the opposing team was full of noobs.. which it always is..

He made a great point about sound/footsteps. I had a silencer on almost every gun in COD4/MW2... you can't hear shit otherwise while shooting
I developed a good (and bad) habit of always keeping tabs on the radar from the corner of my eye during my Halo days, but the thing that's lost on a lot of people is that sound is very important. It's almost a wallhack, you can tell if someone is in a nearby room or running around near you if you listen.
I don't have any fancy hardware.... even my 10+ year old CRT TV with two integrated stereo speakers is good enough for me to know where you are (good enough to guess right most of the time, at least) and don't have ninja or whatever its called in BO. Even regular headphones for a PC are great, I imagine those expensive gaming headsets would help even more.
When I have to play with the volume down and no silencer I tend to play like a pussy.

'Call Of Duty: Black Ops' Map Pack 3 - Annihilation Trailer Revealed
Attention "Call of Duty: Black Ops" fans: Activision and Treyarch aren't done with last year's "Call of Duty" title just yet. As we reported yesterday, pictures of a GameStop poster allegedly showed promotional materials for a third map pack. This morning, Activision officially announced the next "Black Ops" downloadable-content, called "Annihilation."
Even better, the new maps are due to find their way to Xbox 360 on June 28. Only twelve short days until you'll have new locations to reign supreme over your buddies and zombies alike.

When you start up the game it goes directly to this screen, you don't even see the intro video to the game. No need to press start then selecting multiplayer. Just straight to the multiplayer menu.
Also this will show you how to turn it on

lol @ map pack 3
:ibmappack4:
I was reading an article on cracked the other day, it speculated that a lot of game developers are looking to the omg-so-addictive pay-per-month model... I wouldn't be surprised if COD eventually moves to it
I can see it now:
COD: Modern Warfare 3, $59.99 - includes ONE MONTH OF FREE MULTIPLAYER!!!!!*
*$10/month subscription

Was playing some TDM the other night and had the most epic killcam ever. Unfortunately, I was on the receiving end of it but right before the guy got me I stuck him with a crossbow bolt. As he's taking me out all you can see is a giant "Stuck" in the middle of the screen. I lol'd!

I personally don't mind paying for the extra map packs. It was definitely a little better when they were cheaper but it is one of the few games I still play really so I like having the new content for multiplayer.
