The car got taken in today without really an assessment of the damage by the stealership...so, after they took in the Optima, they had to connect with the alloy-works place to assess and get that quote. Once I gave the clear (~$350 NOT including alignment check and etc.), the 3rd-party fetched the wheel this afternoon and so, tomorrow and Thursday for the repair/finishing and back on Friday.
Friday, they get it back, check alignment and yeah.
It's all good. I am fine upgraded into an Audi versus a car people will mistaken for a Hyundai anyhoo.

Well the repair itself is 350 CAD which is probably closer to 250 USD. And that presumably includes removing the tire then re-mounting and balance. Machining time adds up hella quick.

The wheel repair is about $300ish CAD. But, I'm also getting the alignment checked since I glanced off that curb nicely going at about 40mph...so, when all said and done, it COULD be more than $500 CAD. Will know on Friday if they need to do work on the alignment.

Oh. I wish it was like that.
Idiot here (me), was driving along going home from work and the lane/road narrowed as we approached a bridge going over a ravine. Well, I didn't account for the curb coming IN and well, my front passenger wheel basically did a "bounce" and kissed the curb that came outwards. Half the rim is now decorated.
Car goes in next Tuesday for rim repairs because the owner is an idiot.
