my friend has really got into wanting to mod his BMW 740i sport, it's a 2000 since they are kind of rare and you don't see any modded ones.
First thing he did was cut his bumper for magnaflow exhaust he will be installing in the mean time he cut out his current mufflers, resonators still on...it REALLY opened the car up and sounds very nice and beefy, what do you guys thing? Sorry for video being side ways, I left it that way since you can't really see much in the dark anyways

If you check out under the car it actually has some pretty good exhaust. The manifolds are tubes almost like a shorty header, the cats aren't that bad, and that resonator is also sort of a cross over. On top of that it's all stainless steel.
While that does sound nice, and the car does have quite a bit of sound insulation I really think it's more about being a calm cruiser than a scary muscle car. Unless your friend goes for one of the supercharger kits that should get you to around 400hp.

I love the E38... it and the 1st gen RL have some of the best 'stances' for a luxury car out there.

We wanted to see if it would be possibly to get a custom fabbed turbo kit.

I don't have any of my bookmarks, but there is a guy that got some custom dished pistons and went with a high boost turbo setup (though I think he did most of the work, dunno if you will find a kit). Fairly sure he also sleeved the block.
It also may be for a 540.. can't quite remember.

Just drop an S85 into it...that'll make it go fast. And it's cheap.

Whats up with RDX owners?

Man, Bimmer really had great designs in the 90s - E36/8 (although an acquired taste), E31, E38, and most of all, the E39.
I like the sound, I also like the way it looks, just not sure if they work together. Id much rather hear that throatiness from an E39.
