as far as I know BBB has no formal authority BBB is just basically a consumer complaint department.

BBB is an outdated system IMO. Has anyone here checked with the BBB before making a purchase or dealing with a specific company?

In this modern world of teh interwebz it seems like people just google the company name with the word reviews to get this type of info.

^ OP and did you use any of those aforementioned sources to do your research prior to bidding?

For me personally, 55K is not a small number to part with without having 100% confidence.

Edited: The reason why I'm asking, they have had pretty bad reviews regarding misrepresentation and falsifying of advertized deals.

I wouldn't hold weight to what the BBB finds in their "investigation". I've only had to use them once just to find out how bad of a job they do.

I'm sure the lawyers will use lackeys to scour the interwebz for any and all postings by OP. I'd be careful on what I post next as that can be used against you.

Problem solved.

Doesn't matter if they have authority or not, it's not a good idea to commit libel on a public website, especially when the dealer is accusing of just that. It can be used against you if this goes any further. If you said anything libelous on here it could be used against you. I'd delete ASAP and post something simple as a reply...

I did I read their yahoo reviews, I even read their one ebay review before doing the biding. I also looked at their page and thought to myself since it's a dealership they probably know what their doing

Exactly my point. Stick to posting the facts (but still be careful what you say) and nothing else...

They are hindering your process very much. This is definite slander and immature. Right now they will fight you just for the principle. Commmmooon mannnn.

In fact it is infuriating. You won't see this car even if they will have to lose money on it.

lol

got update on eBay! basically they said the dealer is mess up for doing what they are and they will be getting a bad feedback and possible account closure. If I want to pursue this like the guy with BMW and Dodge I can go ahead and hopefully get the car. The guy from eBay motors said he saw this on reddit and wished me good luck on getting it.

dude, you posted all your slanderous links in other forums.
you need to work hard to get them removed...

the people on those forums even gave you the same advice techno-viking and i are giving you....
