Forget the newspaper call TV station that broacasts to that area and ask for their consumer advocate that will get the word out much quicker.

If you press it and get it, I bet they do a number on it back in the garage just to screw with you.

Pretty sure the buy/sell relationship is considered a contractual relationship. IOW - they have a breach of contract.

Keep pushing them. Contact local media. Speak with a local lawyer. Get 'em to take it up on contigency.

When you're talking about an item thats a few or a few hundred dollars - meh. When you're talking $55,000, that's getting pretty serious.

Im waiting on response from the news in Austin and San Marcos.

As far as attorneys go, I'd go with a good one.

...and let's go easy on the name calling....I mean Ian is hardly trash or waste at least at this point....wait until it all pans out before you get into the name calling.

You attorney (so long as he is a good one) would advise you to do the same.

I know that there is a difference (Honda dealer selling a used Nissan), but I think that Honda can help....
Hope you get it...but like others have said, I'd be weary of them doing something to the car.

Other than the fact you don't like the particular car, is there some specific reason you're shitting on the OP's thread?

This all depends on how much money the dealer has in this car whether they'll sell it for a loss or break even. If they had to put $$$ into reconiditioning this thing to be fit for sale (such as brakes $5K) and didn't get this car for all that cheap. See them in court. They'll tell you to go pound sand.

Otherwise you may make some progress, but it probably won't be a sale price of $55K.

If dealer claims to have made a legitimate unintended error in posting the car at auction...well then.......

my point is if you sell on eBay you have can't mistaken to put a reserve on the car. It even prompts you to verify. Leaving the car up for one whole week and responding to questions and uploading pictures after. I'm sure they took a gamble with it and didn't like their price so they are making up stories. And the fact they told me in order to get the car I have to pay their asking price, this right here already violated ebay rules. Also I feel as this is unacceptable sales practice.

But this is how I feel. I just need to find a lawyer who feels the same way in texas

Good luck to you, but I'd be shocked if they sell you the car for the price you got the winning bid number for.
