19's with huge lips for the winter? They're nice wheels, I wouldn't use them through the winter if I had a set of stockies with snow tires laying around.

X2. Not an optimal winter setup.

Not a bad deal for $650.

Not an ideal setup for the Winter.

I would not do it. I like the style of wheels that Axis makes, but those lips bend just by touching a pot hole. And last time I checked, they don't do a lot of repaving in NYC and most of the roads have a ton of pot holes.

What about just getting stock wheels for winter? And if your answer is...."Well, stock wheels just ain't too cool," then bookmark this website.... Clicky

Check out the BM or CL or something for stock ones for winter. I'm glad I got TSX wheels for my CL for the winters. I had 19 inch Axis Mod Sevens. That's how I know about the lips and pot holes. I had to have one repaired and one replaced thanks to the pot holes of NY and NJ.

I don't think I'd roll on 19" wheels in winter...

Are you planning on putting snow tires on them? I'd think the price of 17" snow tires is a lot better than 19" tires. Same with all-seasons.

I am super picky about what wheels I like but I gotta admit I love the Hiros. Fuckkkkkk I forgot who has them but some dude in the 3G TL forum with a white TL has/d 19" silver Hiros on his car and it looked fucking . But I think he has since sold them. But I give my to them.

They look real nice, but I wouldn't want to ding/bend them through winters. At $650, if you can swing it, go for it I guess

"you get what you pay for"
my volks have been doing me good (knock on wood)
just try not to get a tire profile under 40 in ny with nice wheels. you'll end up regretting it.
and he already has a set of volk gt7's so those axis wheels might be alright for a winter set, but stock would probably be more durable.
