Hello guys, so i am about to do my first oil change in my 2011 acura zdx advance package. Which oil would you recommend? What brand? Do you guys take it to the acura desler to get the oil done or where. I live in the US.
Thanks for the advice!

I still have several gallons of the conventional Quaker State 5/20 that was specified in the manual that came with the Hyundai I traded in, and plan to use it in my ZDX. Since I have a heated garage, I usually change my own oil every other time. Since Hyundai grants original owners a 100,000 mi. drivetrain warranty, I assume they would not recommend Quaker State if it wasn't adequate. If maximum fuel economy is your goal, and you park outdoors in sub-freezing weather, you might consider synthetic oil. But, if your driving qualifies as 'severe duty' (abusive/short trips), you should therefor change oil more often, and that can get expensive with synthetics. Also, I personally would never go more than 7500 mi. without an oil change under ANY conditions. People think because synthetic oil is more resistant to breakdown, they can extend change intervals. Dirt, condensation, and blow-by contaminants will still accumulate and accelerate engine wear regardless. Of course, people who lease could care less, and many used ZDXs were likely lease turn-ins (like mine), which is why I paid extra for an ultra-low mileage car.
