Went back in time....
So I've always wanted to have a GS-R sedan after my '97 GS-R sedan was totalled in an accident back in 2001.
So this past weekend I got this....
The pics are from the dealer's listing. I haven't had a chance to snap my own pics yet.
It's a '98 GS-R with only 108K Miles on it which is pretty good for a car in so cal. The car is stock except for an aftermarket head unit and a missing air resonator from the intake. It needs a few things done to get it into good shape like removing the fugly door trims, repairing a dented inner door panel on the driver side (you can see it in the pic), adding back the air resonator, getting an alignment done and other minor things. I'm gonna take it down to the Acura Dealership I've been going to for years now and have them do a full inspection on it. I think the clutch may need to be replaced but that doesn't bother me the least bit.
The door trim has that glue used to adhere them, what do you guys recommend I do when I pull the trims off and need to get the glue off? I can pull off as much of the glue as I can. My brother in law recommended I take a hair dryer or heat gun and warm it up just a little bit so I can peal the glue off. I was also going to use some goo gone to clean off any other glue that was left on it and then get the car waxed. What do you guys think?

Very nice car, I'd love to have a 4dr Integra Type R, but I don't think they sell it here.

Dude...what happened to getting an A3?
Make sure you get a hidden fuel cut off switch installed, and set it every night...
I ALWAYS have my eyes open for another 3rd gen prelude but with 4WS this time...cept as much I love that car I want something more powerful and rwd.

Congrats, I love Integra sedans! I always have a soft spot for DB Integras. Ditch the pinstripe, repaint the outside door trim (looks like its peeling, there's a DIY on team-integra.net) and enjoy! I don't know about the door trim, I thought there were holes behind them? Whatever you do, keep that thing garaged and make sure you theft-proof it.

I need to remove the edge gaurd, clean the adhesive off and hopefully the paint will still be good underneath. This is my first task on the car. As for painting it, if the trim gaurds damaged the paint underneath, I would want to get it painted, but can't afford to right now.

I took the teggy to the dealership yesterday and had them do a full inspection on it.
They found the air resonance chamber was missing as I suspected. I may or may not replace that, it's over $130 for the part itself from acuraoemparts.com!
The car was pulling slightly to the right, so I had them do an alignment, but it was fine. They found that one of the tires is causing the car to pull. And all four tires aren't the same anyway so when I replace them, that'll hopefully fix that problem.
One of the bushings in the rear is cracked, don't remember the exact location off hand. That will be one of my first repairs.
I had them do a compression check on the motor:
A couple breather tubes are aftermarket, no biggie.
Clutch checked out fine even though I thought it felt like it was slipping.
So looks like I'm at a good starting point to restore the car. Oh and the rims need polishing, they are a bit scratched up, but I may put some aftermarket wheels on her.

....prob talking about a spray solvent...i used some on my old ride...just have no idea where i got it... just go to a good body shop and the peeps there should be able to give you a brand / store...
